Just in case you thought maybe Trump wasn't stupid enough to say "Mission Accomplished" about his Iran War, he is. He even references Dubya's mistake in saying that *as he says it.*

Trump is upset that Pirro dropped the charges against David Hearn, and it's an interesting question why. Using the DOJ to attack political enemies is bad, but this is weirder than that. Hearn is not a political enemy. Trump is willing to use the DOJ to destroy a man just to buck up a lie.

Trump & Hegseth just wanted to kill people. Especially people of color, culture, & need. There was never any defendable reason for blowing up these boats & claiming drug trafficking. Hundreds are dead with no evidence of narcotics. Full stop. Test these 2 for drug use. www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

Trump administration’s deadly boat strikes fail to reduce cocaine trafficking in U.S.
Some might argue that if the strikes curtail the drug trade, then it will be worth it. Except that’s wrong, too.

Baier posts a screen shot fron FOX News showing the race "Just called" in Arizona with Biden at 53.6% of the vote, Trump at 45.1% of the vote, and 73% of the vote in at 9:21 MT.

Baier says, "This is the on screen graphic from that night. And the exact time. Thanks."

Two of the principles laid out in "The Art of the Deal" are: don't appear too eager for a deal; and, be prepared to walk away from a deal. By rushing to announce a (still being negotiated) deal with Iran on his birthday, Trump signaled that he's eager for a deal and unlikely to walk away.

I was wondering how this guy felt about a war of choice in Iran. #JoeKent
A tweet from Joe Kent dated March 17, 2026 that reads:
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.

May God bless America.President Trump,

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.

I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.

...

In your first administration, you understood better than any modern President how to decisively apply military power without getting us drawn into never-ending wars. You demonstrated this by killing Qasam Solamani and by defeating ISIS.

Early in this administration, high-ranking Israeli officials and influential members of the American media deployed a misinformation campaign that wholly undermined your America First platform and sowed pro-war sentiments to encourage a war with Iran. This echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States, and that should you strike now, there was a clear path to a swift victory. This was a lie and is the same tactic the Israelis used to draw us into the disastrous Iraq war that cost our nation the lives of thousands of our best men and women. We cannot make this mistake again.

As a veteran who deployed to combat 11 times and as a Gold Star husband who lost my beloved wife Shannon in a war manufactured by Israel, I cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of American lives.

I pray that you will reflect upon what we are doing in Iran, and who we are doing it for. The time for bold action is now. You can reverse course and chart a new path for our nation, or you can allow us to slip further toward decline and chaos. You hold the cards.

It was an honor to serve in your administration and to serve our great nation.

Gotta hand it to Leavitt. She came up with the funniest possible response to reports of Trump officials desperately trying to kill the discharge petition on the Epstein files. It's a show of transparency that their efforts to stop the release will not be detailed to you.
President Trump and other administration officials reached out to key Republicans who have signed on to an effort to force a vote on releasing files about Jeffrey Epstein in the hours before the push was set to succeed on Wednesday.

CNN reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and FBI Director Kash Patel planned to meet with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.).

Trump also called Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) on Wednesday morning, but she missed his call and had been playing phone tag with him as of early Wednesday afternoon, a source told The Hill, adding that there had not been outreach from White House staff.
“Doesn’t it show transparency that members of the Trump administration are willing to brief members of Congress whenever they please?” Leavitt said.

“Doesn’t that show the level of transparency when we are willing to sit down with members of Congress and address their concerns?” she continued, adding that she would not detail “conversations that took place in the Situation Room.”

“This deal guarantees a vote to extend Affordable Care Act premium tax credits, which Republicans weren’t willing to do. Lawmakers know their constituents expect them to vote for it, and if they don’t, they could very well be replaced at the ballot box by someone who will.

“This legislation will protect federal workers from baseless firings, reinstate those who have been wrongfully terminated during the shutdown, and ensure federal workers receive back pay, as required by a law I got passed in 2019. That’s a critical step that will help federal employees and all Americans who rely on government services. I’ll keep working towards a long-term government spending plan that includes critical priorities
