Learning curve: attempted to bake a Trader Joe’s banana loaf cake in my air fryer (with no instructions for air frying on the box). For a disaster, it’s delicious! (Note to self: Next time, add pecans, fill the cake pan only HALF full, and fill silicone muffin molds with the remaining batter!)

My apartment is too small for a tree. And I don’t put up ornaments every year. This year I felt the need for my version of some festive holiday decorations. A few of these ornaments are not in great shape, but are irreplaceable.

I don't think the actor Earl Holliman, who just died at 96, officially came out, so I was touched to see his passing confirmed by his husband. His first screen role was in 1952; he came up when, for an actor, coming out was not difficult but impossible. He lived through things we'll never know. RIP.
