No president is going to save you from a life of bad decision making. Most of your key issues are local. Your biggest problems are self-induced. Take charge of your life. Be your own president/CEO. The politico-media goal is to create fear, confusion and hold you back. Don’t fall for that.#prevail

I like a 21-day challenge to start the year, such as @RyanHoliday's "new year new you" challenge. For 2025 I chose @thejustinwelsh "new business challenge" w/ @stanforcreators. I'm building a platform for my writing + future speaking gigs w/ their help. I posted more on this at bit.ly/sndph

As a touring musician my average commute to work was 313 miles per gig in 2024. Upside is it's not the same stretch of road every day. Downside is there is still a full-day of production, a show to play followed by another long-ass drive the next day. How long is your commute? #musicbiz #musicians

I hit a major milestone. I finished the lyrics for my next Album. Writing lyrics is hard. Resistance is a constant as is self-doubt. I waited weeks for inspiration to strike. it’s yet to show up. By working daily, slowly for a year I built a body of work that I can’t wait to share with you. #writing

“Be satisfied with even the smallest progress," Marcus Aurelius said. You’re never going to be perfect—there is no such thing. You’re human. So instead, aim for progress, even the smallest amount.

“Reinvent yourself because you must. It is your life and its history. And the present belongs only to you” - Charles Bukowski. I like this quote this time of year, especially this year. In the here and now. #quotes #philosophy #thinkaboutit #creativity #poetry

Stop wasting time thinking about the monsters that may or may not be up ahead. Focus on the moment.

Forget what other people are doing, forget what they’re doing wrong. You’ve got enough on your plate. Focus on yourself—focus on what you might be doing wrong. Fix that. Keep an eye fixed on your own life. Frankly, there’s not enough time to waste a second spying on other people.
