K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 3hMeccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS: 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken done. This time I got all (50) songs, since you can just grind them out instead of having to do harder and harder dojo challenges. 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Tora-san, the Matchmaker (1979) is a weird movie. He helps a runaway bride, it discusses the suffocatingly narrow role a woman is expected to play, and then marries her off as her happy ending anyways. 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Finished Taito's PS2 remake of Ys III, first time playing the Wanderers from Ys version. Looks better than the budget 3D of the following IV and V. Is pretty unbalanced, you either take no or all the damage. Final boss being a flyer who barely opens the weak spot is annoying. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Love Plus, the girlfriend in your pocket, for #RandomGameSaturday 1241
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Talk of the Town Tora-san (1978) feels more like we are catching up with the characters, as none of the plots really get enough gravitas to count as more than b plots. 100
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army done. Plays better but looks worse than the original. Still fun. 020
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Stage-Struck Tora-san (1978) has its highlights when Nana Kinomi as Nanako is torn between her love for her job at a revue and the man she loves wanting to marry her (for which she'd have to end her career). But often the movie feels a bit aimless. 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Pocket Love, being the Gameboys first Dating Sim, coming from no other than KID, is pretty much TokiMemo light: Only half a school year, no bombs, easy to get your stats up and have several girls fall for you. The gimmick apparently was that it came with a CD to play for voided dialogue. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Tora-san Plays Cupid (1977), as the name implies, Tora is busier messing with the love life of two young lovebirds than being hopelessly in love himself (tho he obligatory gets that in a bit at the end, too). 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Two more playthroughs of Silent Hill 𝑓 done to get Ending 2-5: The 𝑓riend, the 𝑓ox, and the 𝑓ull emancipation. Also, the U𝑓O doggo is here. 021
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Today's #RandomGameSaturday with Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, one of the best dungeon crawlers on the DS. 1120
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 08/09/2026Done with Silent Hill 𝑓 (Ending 1), or the 𝑓ears and 𝑓rustartions of being socialised 𝑓emale. 261
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Tora-san Meets His Lordship (1977) has Tora do what he does best when he meets an old guy: Be nice and helpful but also mooch off him. But this one turns out to be the Lord of Ozu in search of his estranged late son's wife... who Tora coincidentally already met, too! 111
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 04/09/2026I had this Land Before Time plush I went to sleep with throughout most of my childhood. 120
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 04/09/2026They DO punish you hard for ignoring all the FOMO dailies right at the end of the story when they roadblock it by having to make the Miracle Outfit, which needs you to win all the annoying faction style contest battles which needs lots upon lots of upgrade materials. 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Gacha games are baseline morally objectable and in a better world would not exist. But IF you can ignore the menu where all the screaming buttons try to FOMO you into a gambling addiction as best as possible (it's not entirely), the rest of Infinity Nikki is cute and kinda alright. 100
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Simple Character 2000 Series Vol. 03 - Kamen Rider: The Bike Race. A dozen riders, three race tracks, four game options in one terrible game with bad handling and shit hitboxes. The gimmick is that you can kick each other off the bike. It's shit, don't play it. 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Gonin (1995). Five men rob the yakuza and get hunted down. Interesting, wild, weird, moody, tragic and fairly queer. This is what Miike's Like a Dragon movie should have been like if it wasn't made during his boring phase. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Tora's Pure Love (1976) is one of the more tragic entries, having Torajiro spend one last reckless summer with a woman about to die. 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Finished Magic Knight Rayearth for Saturn. Cute little simple action adventure with some adorable sprite work. Fuu all the way, her homing arrows are the easy route to win. 051
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Phantasy Star Collection (the one without the best one) for #RandomGameSaturday 1294
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 21/08/2026And thus the NES version of Dragon Quest III is beaten. There is some 8bit clunk in here (it is really really slow), but the game's way more playable than I expected going in. New ranking of the versions I've played would be: SNES > GBC > NES > HD-2D 151
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Tora-san's Sunrise and Sunset (1977) starts on a pretty funny Jaws parody before going into the main bulk about an aging artists and a swindled geisha that get help from Tora. 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 15/08/2026There is always space for more Theatrhythm in my life. Even if the Dragon Quest music is not as catchy as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 14/08/2026It happened. Ten years after Blood Omen 2 turned me off the Legacy of Kain franchise, I did finally finish it off with Defiance thanks to the remaster. The game to play if you want a well written and acted narrative, mediocre fighting, and dogshit platforming in one neat package! 130
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Fell back into my rhythm game rabbit hole. Rebought Theathrhythm Final Bar Line for PS5 as an excuse to fully play through it again, and so that I could stream it, got all the DLC (shame it omits Moongazing, Minut & Dreams of the Shore Near Anothter World), even made it to the Platinum Trophy. 030
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 13/08/2026A Touch of Fever (1993) is an interesting movie. If you just tune out, it seems to be about nothing, yet if you pay attention every sentence and every pregnant pause seems to be layered with implications and subtext that the movie sternly refuses to ever turn into plain text. 020
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I think I'm calling it done with Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Touch de Dokodon at 34 of 35 songs unlocked. I made it to 9th dan on the Everyday Dojo, but there is no way I'll get through another 7 oni mode challenges to reach grandmaster and unlock the final one, haha. 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I'm in my "watched a few episodes 20 years ago, forgot to follow up, might as well watch the whole shebang now" arc right now. 110
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 09/08/2026Tora-san, the Intellectual (1975). After the most energetic movie so far for the 75 summer, we follow up with the most mellow movie for winter of 75. Honestly, not a lot happens. 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Kyoei Toshi / City Shrouded in Shadow for #RandomGameSaturday 070
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 06/08/2026It looks, walks, and quacks like Pokemon, but it's Gegege no Kitarou: Youkai Souzoushu Arawaru! Tho here the yokai randomly join at the end of battle and for story reasons. Which is told in 4 episodes of yokai trouble yet it still should not take longer than a few hours to beat. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 05/08/2026Die Variante gibts in 1 auch, also ab in die PS2 damit. 130
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Bokura No Kisetsu (1983) has a gay couple befriend a young woman who's willing to birth a child for them to raise, while an estranged older couple they know reunites. As a pink film (which I think was the norm for queer cinema at the time) it's a breezy 60 minutes of mostly good vibes. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Tora-san's Rise and Fall (1975) brings back Ruriko Asaoka as fan favorite Lily, the only love interest that seems to be able to keep up with the unfiltered Torajiro. 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 26/07/2026Tora-san's Lullaby (1974). I've just gotten used to Tatsuo Matsumura as the uncle and now we have yet a third actor taking over the role. That's really rare, usually everyone stays throughout the series, and indeed Masami Shimojō will keep the role until its end 20 years later. 101
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 25/07/2026The Sinking City fin. An interesting game about investigating a Lovecraftian infected city on foot, boat and diving suit, where everyone is kinda just "I guess that's the new normal" and goes on with their life. Combat's really annoying tho. 010
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Despite it all, I made it through Hako no Naka. This is the kind of oldschool adventure you could finish in an hour if you knew the solutions but will take you 30 if you had to figure it all out on your own. 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Hakononaka, the 3rd game in Fromsofts Adventure Player. Challenging you to find the verb in the 3-tiered submenu of dozens of options to successfully interact with the environment. No, you don't "Move" or "Flip over" the carpet to find the trap under it, you "Stab" with the fork to disable it obv! 000
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 22/07/2026Finished Oujisama Lv1 for the first time in 20 years. Still a fun and simple little crawler, with of course a lot of VN dialogue spliced in, since it is a BL game. Bonus points for having cute "guy-monsters" to catch-em-all, haha. 021
K @cursedblessing.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Tora-san's Lovesickness (1974) brins back Sayuri Yoshinaga as love interest Utako and is actually more about her problems than anything else this time around. 111
