In 2010, I couldn't sleep. I needed a break. I booked a single room in a best Western in Eastbourne. I read. I walked along the coast. I had a chippy tea. And, at 8.30pm, I started watching Predator on the TV. By 9pm I was ready to sleep. And it was the best sleep I'd had in months.

The pier at Eastbourne. The sea is flat. The buildings on the pier protrude and just out. The sky is grey. The picture is calm, maybe melancholy. A smudge og a seagull in the foreground.

been a strong day, ladz. child 2 learned how to open the stair gate, we saw old friends, travelled to the imaginary fairy and animal islands and went swimming. finished by roast, crumble, custard and a bubble bath spa sesh.

A once white toddlers vest with brownie and custard stains on it. I hope it's brownie stains anyway. It is. Don't worry.

After working in non-profit 'B2B' content, I used to say that the word 'solution' had no meaning for readers. That any text without it would be better than text that included it. Only a true design thought leader can admit that they were wrong. I was wrong. There is a valid use. This. It's this.

An advert. The headline text is, in all caps, Perfect solution for a complete breakfast! The secondary text is combines the options of toasting, egg cooking / bean warmer all in one. A 2 slot toaster from Tefal. There is circular bowl-like extension mostly covered by a clear plastic lid. Inside, there is a suspiciously vibrant cooked egg, possibly poached. Content design makes content easy to find and understand. You can't use unstructured formatting instead. It's not accessible and everyone will hate you. But it's a common in 'the infinite lasagne of content sadness' governance model - nothing is edited or archived and new stuff is slathered on top

It's no "from scratch" project, but I know how to use blanket stich to make a strong hidden seam and reinforce it with backstitch 🙌🌈🌟

Close up of the inside of the leg hole seam. There is a subtle line of sitching at the outside, and a more visible line further in. It is even, of a little wobbly!
