brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 30/05/2026Google Photos just reminded me of another place - the Elgin Street diner. It was there in 2016. Open 24 hours - we used to go there for breakfast after a late night out 😀 010
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 30/05/2026Right? She'll know better than I would - I haven't been there since I went to Carleton. 010
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 30/05/2026The last two games were tough. Good for them, though - they are young, and I'm sure they will be back. Gotta be tough to get that close. 000
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 30/05/2026Fond memories of it when I went to school there. I'm sure it's changed - a ton - but if you're right there. I have heard it's maybe a bit sketchier than it used to be though 😀 130

brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 30/05/2026You have to walk the market - do they still call it that? Worth a look. 110
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 30/05/2026I just set up my first 'plant stand'. It's at the end of my driveway, and I have basil, thyme, dill, and marigolds. Let's see what happens😀 000
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 07/05/2026Needed some time away from the keyboard to let the brain rest a bit, so I potted up a bunch of marigolds. All these came from seeds I collected last fall. I think I have enough to get a 2nd tray going. It's a bit late, so we'll see. 000

brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 27/11/2025So good! My little Python boto3 script can new be retired 😀 000

brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 27/08/2025Appreciate it. Are you heading to the AWS summit next week? 100
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 27/08/2025So close, someone do me a solid and sub! 😝 www.youtube.com/@brettg98 210
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 26/08/2025This feels like the '80s are back. I've played this so much recently, my wife is just rolling her eyes 👀 music.youtube.com/watch?v=xkGl...music.youtube.comMemoriesYouTube video by The Midnight - Topic 000
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 26/08/2025couldn't agree more. When I use one of these tools to help me with something I'm already comfortable with, they are a win. However, if I decide I want to become a front-end developer, yikes, pain will ensue. 020

brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 19/08/2025omg! This ... lol. Just once, tell me that I have no clue what I'm talking about. 110
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 28/07/2025deadlines, what a bummer. 😀 I'll poke around a bit. Most of my customers now require endpoints, so I generally deploy them. 000
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 28/07/2025Do you happen to have a documentation link you can share? I'm interested in the endpoint piece of this. 100
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 13/07/2025So strange, I had a friend just tell me yesterday they were loving grok and had used it to build an entire application. never tried it myself. Claude Code has been really working well for me. 100
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 13/07/2025So I did a quick test. Nothing in VPC flow logs, and I don't have SSH allow rules in my SG configuration. I do see the request in CloudTrail. I knew that Minecraft server would come in handy for things other than Minecraft! 😀 110
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 13/07/2025I use SSM all the time, and never considered this. I tend to use CloudTrail to look for connections. I know how I'm spending my Sunday! 😀 110
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 23/06/2025I've been leaning into context more and relying less on 'vibe-coding' recently. Wow, what a difference! 020
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 19/06/2025Where the heck did the time go?! Seven years helping folks figure out how to leverage the AWS platform for their businesses. 130
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 18/06/2025Thanks! I need to spend some time working on something similar. 010
brettg98 @curiousorbit.com · 18/06/2025Obsidian + second brain + Q ... you're speaking my language. Care to share details on how you did this? I'm pretty sure I'd be lost without my Obsidian vault. 110
