I lived in Texas for a long time, and they really do love to brag about seceding from Mexico and becoming their own country, but they always conveniently leave out WHY they seceded from Mexico in the first place.

I need to watch this one again. Ocean’s 11 is one of my favorite movies of all time and I really really like 12, but I’ve never spent near as much time with 13 as I have the other two.

Haha, and I just scrolled farther down my timeline…

His name is still on the plaque in the train depot in Elburn. It was a bit of a jump scare the first time I saw it.

I first heard Turnstile 10 years ago when I saw them at a music festival held at the grounds of a renaissance fair near Austin, TX. They were playing on a small wooden stage out in the middle of a forest and we just kind of happened upon them, which I still consider the best way to discover a band.

He was never meant to be a long-term hire, just someone to bring stability to the program, but if he’s not even doing that I don’t think it’s unreasonable for them to get a jump on the carousel and do a proper search, especially considering they didn’t do that for the last two coaches.

As a Michigan fan this is all I can think about while watching them play. As a Texas fan I am very much looking forward to next weekend.

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

At this point I don’t know that I would count on any of those.

000

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I wouldn’t count on there being a win on the rest of the schedule.

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Can’t put anything on tape too early.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I also liked having Denard Robinson on the team better than this.

130

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

How does an entire team and coaching staff collectively look so much like this is their first game ever?

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Apparently a penalty is when the other team elbows your player in the head.

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

My wife was working in fundraising at Texas State when they were considering becoming and all-Steinway tour and got a tour of the Steinway factory out of it, but yeah, it was going to be a pretty insane process to get that all going (also with no financial help from Steinway).

040

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Yeah, even if you did hear this through the grapevine you probably shouldn’t share it with a reporter on the record under your actual name.

0230

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

“Jenny at Steinway” Is she the manager at the local Steinway store? Is she just a sales rep? Does she work for corporate? Does she move or tune the pianos? This is actually important information that would give the reader context! As far as we know she could just be a person standing near a piano.

1490

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Does this shop rent or loan all the pianos used at the Kennedy Center? Does it facilitate sales when the Kennedy Center needs to clear out old pianos? Why is the shop, which is ostensibly a separate entity from the Kennedy Center, being mentioned at all? This is just really poor reporting.

I would also be interested in receiving minor compensation for getting hotboxed on the Red Line.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Unfortunately two great catches from former Michigan players for not quite a touchdown.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

It’s so bizarre because the author even acknowledges the reasons why someone might not have heard the song and still goes on to express disbelief at the idea that someone might not have actually heard it. I promise you, I’m not trying to make a statement, I just haven’t heard it.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

It reminds me of when Courtney Barnett was nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys several years ago and an interviewer asked her what she thought of the other nominees. She responded that she’d never heard of any of them, and the interviewer was incredulous and seemed offended by this.

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I’m usually either listening to playlists I’ve made or streaming albums I choose, or I’m listening to records. It’s not unique to country or even this song, I don’t listen to the radio and my various feeds don’t really show me any top 100 stuff. That’s not a brag, I just don’t seek it out at all.

0100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I don’t know how one can say “we all live in our own curated worlds” and then follow it up with “I don’t understand how people can have different experiences than me” and expect to be taken seriously. Why would it be so unbelievable that someone hasn’t heard the song (I haven’t)?

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Though in that case I’m a fan because they were the first pro sports team in the city I was living in at the time, so any forward progress on their part is mostly met with “You’re doing great sweetie! Proud of you!”

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Best I can do is a bottom of the table MLS club that can only aspire to one day being a mid table team.

120

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

That was one of the most horseshoe-up-their-asses performances I have ever seen.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

That was such a fucking bullshit game.

000

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

As a Texas fan, has Oklahoma’s poor performance this season made me more confident about Red River? No, it absolutely has not, not at all.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Sorry, I didn’t see it, my ears were still ringing with “Iowa trying to go tempo…”

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I don’t really like them in any context. I don’t really like the white socks either, I think they look better with blue or black.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

The thing makes me fine with Northwestern being good is that Braun coming in and immediately making them better calls Pat Fitzgerald’s coaching acumen further into question.

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I have three degrees in music, how did I not know this until just now?

020

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I would pay money to hear Kirk Ferentz say “Damn, you are grizzled.”

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I don’t see what the problem is, all I see is a young man celebrating excellence.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

(I swear to god no pun intended) Yeah, you don’t want to cross those streams.

000

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

With how big some of those linesmen are? You’ve got some prime miming opportunities right there.

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

What if the penalty differed depending on what was being simulated? “Human? That’s five yards. Dog? That’s 15. If you try for a horse I swear to god I’ll make it 20.”

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

That was mimicking a dog, that was completely different, he’s clearly a human here.

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Honestly, not having commentary every second of the game was kind of nice. Having that come at the expense of Herbstreit was definitely an added bonus.

010

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

“Kirk won’t stop talking” is the impetus for a lot of problems in this world.

060

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I pointed out that Abromovich was an incredibly famous and well-regarded artist whose work had been taught in art schools for decades with no problem. Apparently this comment meant that I was hateful towards women and wanted them to be harmed. She even used the “me too” hashtag.

000

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

She was reacting to a video of an early Abromovich piece where she put a bunch of objects on a table, including weapons, and encouraged the audience to do whatever they wanted to do to her with them. The canceler was worried someone would see this and try to replicate it, or god forbid teach it.

100

Corey Cunningham @cunningcoreyham.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

A person tried to cancel me because I had the gall to make the outlandish claim that Marina Abramovich, one of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century, was in fact one of the most famous and celebrated artists of the 20th century.
