65 years ago today, 1,400 Cuban exiles were sent by the U.S. government to invade their own island. The Bay of Pigs invasion collapsed in 3 days. The policy logic behind it never did. As the Trump admin renews threats of military action against Cuba, we say: NOT IN OUR NAME!

We just got back from Havana, where we connected with community groups and brought much-needed aid. We also saw firsthand how deeply the U.S. blockade impacts the lives of Cubans. Here’s a video recap of our time there 📹

Hardliners say that Cubans are desperate for U.S. intervention. Sara Kozameh talked to many Cubans of all political stripes as part of her coverage for The Guardian. Not one supported U.S. intervention. Cubans want dignity and sovereignty, not U.S. sanctions.
Screenshot of a highlighted excerpt from a Guardian article where a journalist says they spoke with 70–80 Cubans from different backgrounds in eastern Cuba, including critics of the government, and none supported U.S. sanctions or intervention.

For decades, politicians have claimed that the embargo represents us. We're sending a delegation of Cuban Americans to Cuba with the Nuestra América Convoy to deliver critical aid and show the world that Cuban Americans stand with Cuba. Support our delegation: cubanamericansforcuba.org/delegation

Cuban Americans nationwide are uniting for a just, humane, and prosperous relationship between the U.S. and Cuba. Decades of "maximum pressure" has only brought maximum suffering. It's time for a new approach: end the embargo and normalize relations. cubanamericansforcuba.org/letter

The media keeps recycling the same loud voices calling for continued sanctions and regime change. But they’re not the whole story. Many of us are working for what actually helps our families: easing tensions, rebuilding ties, and creating shared prosperity for our families. #Cuba #EndTheEmbargo

The crisis in Cuba isn’t abstract. It’s our relatives going without power, food, and medicine because the U.S. is blocking oil shipments. Cubans in Miami and across the country want engagement, not escalation. #Cuba #EndTheEmbargo
