Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 08/06/2026good thing you have two heads now to get through them twice as fast! 031
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 24/05/2026I almost went Aruba but found a lot of cheap Ruckus models on eBay that were compatible to be flashed with the “Unleashed” (no cloud, no license fee) controller firmware. 120
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 24/05/2026Yeah quite prosumer. An okayish data plane with a struggling control plane, I find. Been super happy with opnsense, Mikrotik’s Marvell chip switches, and ruckus APs lately. IGMP/MLD snooping, DSCP flagging, PTPv2 boundaries, 802.11k roaming, and IPv6 all work properly, imagine that! 040
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 08/05/2026what if ur friends are interested in being naked around you tho 👀💦 090
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 16/04/2026It’s human nature to yearn for winning and losing strategies to be clear, but of course life is rarely that simple. 010
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 16/04/2026The sun shining through trees is so beautiful to me and I have to stop myself from taking photos of it every time ad nauseam. 0190
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 16/04/2026That, and the challenges of building LUTs that handle both full/partial conversion when going from log to PQ, as well as swapping BT.709/BT.2020 matrix coefficients. All things that happen automatically in file based workflows that become easy to miss in live setups. 050
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 16/04/2026It was nice to do HDR live streaming just to prove to myself I could do it, though I wish I had better discipline on lighting and set design to make my own scenes worth while for it. At least it helped me learn a lot about using FFmpeg and GStreamer with genlocked sources in the process. 2101
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026Oh yes, though my current team would have still been on Avid at that time :p 110
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026Glad Adobe are still working on this. Their recent switch to ACEScct in Premiere was nice, but the controls & tooling still wasn't there when my editing team at work tested it. It's tough for editorial departments to deal with scene-referred workflows, but will become increasingly common. 140
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026I’m excited we’re past 50% now, as hopefully that becomes social leverage to influence more mass adoption. 030
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026On March 28th 2026 we hit 50% IPv6 for requests to Google! www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6... 2152
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026I understand you can chart the heck out of this process to build an IDT LUT that would neutralize both the scanner illuminant and even parts of the film stock, but I wonder how far is best to take that process especially for an enthusiast photographer friend. :p 040
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026Since you presumably want some colorimetric correction for the scanner's behavior (and it's illuminant), but sticking to linear transforms so as to not ruin the (desirable?) non-linearities of the film itself? There's a reason I've avoided getting a film hobby lol 150
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026I understand "print emulation" would be the tradition for the end of that picture formation pipeline, but still unclear what working space the DI is effectively using. Film native? Scanner native? Print native? Where is that 3x3 matrix in the pipe? 130
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 15/04/2026Friend asking me about film negative scanning has me questioning where the conversion to a colorimetric human observer takes place in DI? For digital sensors it's a linear transform to satisfy Luther Condition, but film is quite non-linear & the scanner's spectral behavior is an additional layer. 🤔 170
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 14/04/2026I debate making another bsky account mainly for higher volume reposting of art & lustful/sexual images. I'd feel bad compartmentalizing, but it would mainly be for density than anything else, considering my increasing anxiety over treating my online profiles as slower and more tasteful portfolios. 2190
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 14/04/2026While I'm not making it to NAB this year, I tremendously enjoyed going last year. It's something I had wanted to do since I was a child, and certainly a joyful part of my career I'll never forget. <3 0180
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 14/04/2026I've had fun experimenting with nicer picture formation algorithms (like OpenDRT), but it's been over a year since I've caught up on editing / publishing any of my photography. Perhaps I can fix that soonish. 090
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 13/04/2026Atomos buying Flanders was certainly not on my bingo card. 060
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 11/04/2026Yeah over the years I’ve rarely been able to actually watch any of the networks I’ve done work for. 020
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 11/04/2026Another episode of my show in the can, sleep time :3 0110
Paradox @ctcwired.paradoxwolf.info · 07/04/2026I can’t make art masterpieces, but I know how to proof colorspace conversions and adjust printer cut lines!! 020
