We've only ever seen one group of people get more hate from Christian Nationalists than nonbelievers or any of their other "targets du joir". That group is Progressive Christians. They not only threaten the belief, they could seize the mechanism (churches) of the right's power.

CT GOP voters tossed the former chair of the Conservative Caucus and the former House Minority Leader out of their Primaries, and party leaders are now recruiting legislative candidates from anti-vax and anti-choice orgs. While screaming about the DSA. There is a strong CT analog to this story.

And there should be some kind of ruling review by Congress, with a mandated timeframe. If SCOTUS strikes down a law, Congress should have a chance to overturn it, like they can with regulatory review. The unelected judiciary must no longer get the final word. Only then can we start to recover.

It's time to start talking about the Judiciary no longer being a co-equal branch of the federal government. Corrupt, unaccountable, and dangerous. If Dems win in '28, it needs to be stripped down, restrained, and rebuilt. No agenda will succeed unless it's done.

Rep. Fishbein is the Chair of the Conservative Caucus and Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee. He had the whole Caucus displaying Gadsden flags on their desks. One hell of a mission statement they have there.
Description: screenshot of an X post from Conservative Caucus chair Rep. Craig Fishbein (R-90). In it, he shares a post from right-wing account "Libs of TikTok" showing President Trump's Truth Social post of a proposed logo. The proposed logo is for "NICE", standing for National Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

During the recently-finished legislative session, the Conservative Caucus strongly objected to SB 397, which increased protections for CT residents against ICE activity. Posts like this show he is hardly interested in "individual liberty" or "limited government", as his Caucus press releases claim. End description.Description: screenshot of a Facebook post from the CT General Assembly Conservative Caucus from March 2025. This excerpt shows a standard paragraph at the bottom of each of their press releases. Specifically, "the Connecticut General Assembly Conservative Caucus is a group of Connecticut legislators dedicated to the principles of limited government, economic freedom, and individual liberty. They foster open debate about the role of government in society, adherence to the Federal and State Constitutions, as well as the rule of law."

This mission statement seems to directly contradict their enthusiastic support for the Administration's expanded use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and their behavior in cities like Minneapolis. The caucus led opposition to SB 397, which expanded residents' proptections against harmful ICE activity.
End description.

That "amiable 63-year-old conservative" is Rep. Tim Ackert, one of the founding members of the Conservative Caucus. He becomes the second Caucus founder, after Joe Markley, to become a LG candidate. When will CT media acknowledge the Caucus' existence?
000
Blue 4U @ctblue4u.bsky.social · 13/04/2026
If rumors here are true, Ackert would he the second founding member of the Conservative Caucus to become a candidate for LG. Joe Markley was also a founding member and was Bob Stefanowski's running mate in 2018. The influence and reach of the Caucus within the GOP grows each year.
Description: screenshot of an X post from the CT Politics and TV page showing an announcement by Erin Stewart. Stewart plans to make a "special announcement" at Ackert Electric in Coventry tomorrow at noon. There are rumors that Rep.
