ASF Maven 3.10.x lineage is shaping, using Resolver 2.x. It remains Java 8 baseline as Maven 3.9.x was (Maven 4 is Java 17). Purpose is to let users have all the improvements done in Resolver 2.x, without the hassle of going for major Maven upgrade. github.com/apache/maven... #maven3 #asf #maven

100% agreed. Whenever I touch npm or pip, I see why Maven (and Gradle) and the Java ecosystem are good the way they are. We're even getting trusted checksums in Maven 4! Like a "proper" package-lock...
