This book makes my stomach hurt. Their society is very weird and puritanical. I hate how they talk about sex, but enjoy the way the main character agonizes about it. I like how gross the mom is. The writing is very direct. So far, I'm enjoying it! #booksky #bookrecs

I'm still finishing up Cable n Deadpool. But I did start Identinty Disc! Only 5 issues run. I rlly like the art style! It matches the vibes of the book. Deadpool specifically looks cool here. Dp and his homoerotic tensions. My favorite. With a hint of Body horror! #marvelcomics #marvel #comicsky

Astonishing xmen by Marjorie Liu issues 62-65 If anyone was curious. Just read the Iceman issues if you want to learn more about him. I don't think it would really be Iceman if he didn't have this context added. It's as if Deadpool didn't have his past self-loathing. Is it rlly him? Yk? (3/3)

He's a character who doesn't know what he wants because he's too worried about what others want from him. The xmen, his parents, society as a whole. He's an older queer character, which isn't common so I appreciate that. He's a mess. He's envious. He's not that funny but thinks he is. (2/?)

And! She's a rare comic book character who gets an ending! Where she's not fridged and I like to imagine is living a happier life wherever she is. They both had an impact on each other and were a nice chapter in eachothers lives. And now it's done. It's pretty cool imo :D

It's the girls' job to 'fix' a troubled man. No, she straight up tells him you can do better, and he's the only one who can do that. This also applies to herself. Their relationship isn't perfect on both ends. She's troubled, too. They both need to find better people and do better.

Wade and Vanessa cared abt each other, but they couldn't give each other what the other wanted. I haven't read much Dp comics, but the dynamic they had made this one of my favorite solo runs. She's not perfect, and I love that. She doesn't do the cliche thing a lot of comics do where 2/?

Im personally fine with it since I'm imagining Dp himself is acting like an idiot to endear himself to new fans. Like I always remember that one line in Uncanny. But yeah, sometimes his dialogue is annoying. They need to add more genuine lines for him to balance it.
