Our hate music report is out. The evidence is clear. Meta has seen it all. 5.9 million Instagram reels created using hate music, filled with dehumanization, calls for violence including threats of setting members of religious minority communities on fire. Meta knows. And Meta has done nothing.

The report has been co-written by Kunal Purohit, the author of the book ‘H-Pop: The Secretive World of Hindutva Pop Stars’, which was published in 2023 and documented the rapid growth of the genre in India.
