Improve this policy: In the event of injury or death to passengers or crew of an aircraft resulting from space debris, all shareholders holding more than 0.001% total equity in the at-fault space company will be held criminally liable for manslaughter.

It’s a cool, rainy morning. As I sit in bed under warm blankets next to my wife, who is still asleep, I pray: It is peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. How wonderful these gifted days are! How different things could be. How grateful I am in the sufficiency of what I have today. Thanks be to God.

Lots of music today! Church this morning had a guest vocalist who did an Ed Cash piece, followed by our music director with a piano version of Gungor’s ‘Beautiful Things’. Tonight we went to a Josh Groban concert where he brought out 18yo Samia Posadas for a rocket performance of ‘All I Ask of You’.

If you have the opportunity to attend an event with Dr. Wilson, by all means do so. That we have, in our society, a celebrity translator of classical Greek—a delightfully absurd combination of words!—is a true felicity of our age.

A close friend who’s transitioning came out to a group of other friends yesterday. They gave their new name. One person thanked them for sharing, another asked for forgiveness if they mess up the name, and then the conversation moved on normally. No one used their old name. This is as it should be.

ordinaryabundance.com This website is delightful; I’m so glad someone made it. Even the phrase “ordinary abundance” is meaty and instructive. Look around and enjoy. The beauty of normal things lies dormant without our imagination.

There’s a restaurant like this in Windsor, Ontario, just across the river from Detroit, called “Ukrainian Restaurant”. Run by a woman in her 90s who cooks everything in a small kitchen in the back. The dishes are kept in the cabinets along the wall. You pay in cash. She will not accept tips.
