We aren't crazy heavy users, but @playfulprogramming.com is confirmed working perfectly fine with Preact 11 without any changes. Awesome work!

That's the real crux of the problem. OAI probably poisoned their training data with the smallest bit of my code 😭💔

Corbin Crutchley @crutchcorn.dev · 07/09/2026
To be fair to OAI here (GPT-6 is very good): It transferred code from another non-React system and didn't add deps from elsewhere to make it better. IMO there should've been more gaurdrail following, but this is not exactly "generate from scratch" output

ICYMI, Nvidia bought Hugging Face today. I have concerns. Nvidia is doing better than anyone else to build out a wholesale ecosystem around AI. But they've historically been a poor host to open ecosystems. See: Linux support. I suspect HF Cloud to be Nvidia locked in 6 months.

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to help teach a bootcamp based on curriculum from my book and broader Playful content. Just a dream come true; a full-circle moment for me. I'm so grateful for everyone who helped out, and to our students for being part of our journey.

I think about `browser()`: react.dev/reference/re... And its `use`age the same way I think about `infer` in TS: `use(browser()) ~= Runtime<infer browserInfo>` It's a way to unwrap the inner value from another container with a built-in wait mechanism while it retrieves the info

This is technically the second post in the thread but I do not care; I am so so so excited that we're finally putting our color scheme back in the oven to bake this out further We've strived for excellent A11Y from day one, but there's always room for growth and this one excites me. Fonts too WIP!

Over the past few months, we've been working incredibly hard on @tanstack.com Form v2. We're working hard on getting an alpha your way (maybe even within the week 👀) but can already share some of the updates we recorded earlier this week. Check it out: www.youtube.com/live/eMBGraf...

We are gearing up to do private testing VERY soon, maybe we could onboard y'all to the process as a greenfield project? Up to y'all, we know it's a gamble on your end, but you'd have direct comms with our team of course.

There was! Timestamp here: www.youtube.com/live/eMBGraf... It'll likely be a couple of months (2? Maybe?) before we have something public to test. I suspect our v2 beta phase will be short (I have decent confidence even in our internal stability today), but still worth flagging.

Was just telling this to a colleague at my new job this. Friction is a tool. Leverage it wrong, and you slow down more than you need to be. Leverage it right, and you prevent yourself from going down the wrong paths that could ultimately kill your project/biz/etc. I know which one I'd prefer there

Claude Mythos is GA!... Kinda. www.anthropic.com/news/claude-... They just announced Fable 5, a "Mythos class" model. It scores 80.3% on SWE bench vs Opus' 69.2%... The catch is that it's 2x the cost of Opus 5.8.

I don't agree. I don't expect a "This is what happened" post, but "We are investigating" on public comms is crucial.

Corbin Crutchley @crutchcorn.dev · 31/05/2026
I don't know unfortunately :( Their status page is extremely scant on details and they've said nothing on comms AFAICT. I like genuinely don't know how they could have gotten my master password. It's never been reused from anything else

I'm not saying that you need to have answers immediately. But you absolutely MUST disclose that an incident is occurring if people have their entire livelyhoods entrusted to you. Hiding an announcement behind a hard-to-find status page is not sufficient public comms.

Corbin Crutchley @crutchcorn.dev · 31/05/2026
@dashlane.com, I was one of the customers who received a "someone attempted a login" email. Frankly, I find the lack of official comms deeply upsetting and will likely be the reason I change password managers after the incident resolves. No site banner, no socials. Unacceptable.

I know/understand the ecosystem's qualms with Chrome's prompt API Today they introduced the WebMCP experiment which, on first glance, makes me think that this could serve as a more model agnostic prompt API support; offloading LLM to browser itself Seems neat developer.chrome.com/docs/ai/webmcp
