I have two dumb questions: 1) Is there any quality loss with compressing games or any other downsides? 2) If I enable widescreen hacks, should I tell my TV to display my PS2 in a 16x9 format? I had to force my TV to do 4:3 on that input. I assume "yes" but will all the PSBBN UI get stretched out?

Support your local library, folks. There's also the high seas which, you do you! No judgement here But libraries offer SO much modern content. Some (all?) even have FREE streaming services you can use. For free. Without ads. See if your library has Hoopla or Kanopy Also go register to vote.

I tend to watch what I wanna watch on a service and then cancel. But when it comes to Disney+ now, I'm just gonna wait until I can watch their stuff off-platform. (not that there's been much worth watching over there... in like a long time)

I've already been buying anything I'd watch on D+ physically, and getting that started was expensive. But now it feels like those up-front costs are paying off Not trying to brag here, this is gross. When I do pay for subscriptions, I always go for the ad-free tier because I want a good experience!

I'm good with any of the remaining cast winning this season, but it was super lame that 3 people got to come into a house full of their fans AND were given safety straight away on top of that Dee and Devens still played the hell out of the game though! Been a fun season to watch

The price of the Steam Frame makes it truly not worth it to me. I'm not even blaming Valve, I get it... It just sucks because if the device was more affordable perhaps development for VR games would pick up again. I wanted to snag this headset when it came around but not for $1k

It was such a relief when I deleted twitter and ig from my phone. I also hid reddit so I only use it to open things ppl share with me and I don't scroll it anymore It was an immediate improvement for my mental health! I've also done a pretty good job training myself not to scroll through shorts

These other projects keep getting called out for using AI and none of them even bother to deny it, so I feel pretty confident that the people accusing them of using AI are correct and I just can't support that On the bright side, I have more reasons to use my Analogue 3D

At this point the only recomp I feel comfortable playing is DK64 Rekongpiled which makes itself VERY clear that it's 100% human-made Can I prove it? No. Do I believe them? Yes!

Yes, thank you omg Even if vibe code was ethical, I'm also worried about downloading software made by someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Libraries that AI uses can be malicious because bad actors know a bunch of dummies are vibe coding programs and mass distributing them 🙅‍♂️

I've heard that as well in the midst of all the stories surrounding Gamescom this year 😞 At a certain point I'm gonna be looking sideways at Steam for not enacting some kind of punishment when these games get caught (essentially) lying about AI usage
