maybe i am ADHD coded. i will start playing a game that's been sitting in my library untouched for months and then 5 minutes in start thinking about a different game i haven't played in a couple weeks and then switch to that. and then start thinking about a DIFFERENT different game. ad infinitum

ok changed from borderless to fullscreen, lowered the resolution all the way down to 800x600, and set everything to minimum with 75% scaling and anti-aliasing. this is the closest i can get it to not looking like a potato and only dropping to single-digit framerates on rare occasions. good enough

i don't even like how ue looks, I'm not big on the realism for aesthetic reasons and now i have justification for being against it for practical reasons. looks worse, plays worse, my pc struggles to handle even the lowest graphics settings which look like absolute dogshit. why is this such a pain

0.2 also ran like ass but i justified setting it to 30fps because it's a relatively short game. i cannot play through a full campaign with these crunchy ass textures that still somehow drop to single digit frames every 30 seconds; doesn't even matter if it's in a battle or a cutscene, it just sucks

god, kh3 runs abysmally on my computer. i hate having to choose between the game looking like shit or playing like shit, and i have yet to find a sweet spot that isn't somehow both at once. no wonder i've been compelled to play old games so i don't have to deal with the Unreal Engine Curse

steam says i have 3 hours in kh3 actually. I've literally only cleared olympus, did it really take me that long to get through the goddamn prologue. that's comparable to roxas's entire summer vacation. at least next time i play I'll be getting into the actual good stuff hopefully

0.2 was in fact necessary for getting me used to 3's engine and mechanics. i put it off for a long time because i really didn't like grinding in bbs to unlock the secret ending but now all of that has been taken care of. i wasn't impressed with the first hour i spent with 3 but I'm finally ready now

as far as i can tell this Master of Masters guy like...knows everything that's gonna happen in the future (i.e. our present) because of the eye on the keyblade that would become xehanort's. and i guess that's why he's Like That. but he's also given up on doing anything to change destiny? so like...🤷‍♀️

it was an engaging 90 minutes of story or however long it was. i was just starting to understand the foretellers and their dynamics, the whole secret betrayal and paranoia and some good character drama and all. but it really didn't do anything to elucidate what the point of it all is outside of that

i did finally finish 3dhd and 0.2. they were...passable. i had a decent time but i don't feel very fulfilled with either of them. dream drop was too hard and fragments was too short. least they got replay value if i ever wanna just dick around
