Balatro uses the same audio technique slot machines do to keep people pressing the Skinnerbox buttons. And it has worked on me so well.

Same, we used it for some podcastesque and esports things. Felt like a better vdoninja. Now I will struggle to ever not use it.

010

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Nope. We didn't share any video, but the option is great.

Not upgraded, just down the coast this week where it's very low light pollution. Normally it's cloudy as but this week been super clear.

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 28/12/2024

This week I finally saw Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Saturn. AS WELL AS The Pleiades, Orion Nebula, Eta Carinae Nebula and the Southern pleiades. I am just beyond myself. Really considering going back to uni and doing astronomy.

One of the funniest things has been Americans telling me I moved here because I'm angry at trump. I literally live halfway across the world.

For the first time coming down the coast with my telescope, it is a clear night. And I just saw Jupiter plus multiple moons. I am so beyond giddy. Space is amazing.

Idea: A Fast and Furious style movie where a vampire becomes bored with "life" and only feels excitement when street racing, until his extreme tendencies and need for speed make him a menace to the racing community and he must be hunted down. I present to you, NOSferatu.

Yeh it's one of like 7 different possibilities i believe? I won't spoil the other ships i know of for anyone here

020

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 20/12/2024

The end section seems to reset every 2ish hours? But you also need all 7 keys again. So there's certainly a time gate to it to stop your whole crew people super geared in days.

Anyone got any cool design docs/videos about movement shooters? How to make them feel right, technical details, etc Anything really

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 16/12/2024

Finally watched the first episodes of Secret Level and I'm honestly in love. D&anamd Unreal Tourny episodes are my favourite of the ones out now. What I would pay for full series of both.

Yeh otherwise I won't be able to do the pod tomorrow. Plus 4.0 has started getting interesting now that the servers have been more stable

100

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 14/12/2024

Start stream, weird internet issues right at the start but resolve themselves within minutes. Get into 4.0, everything working really well. Second we get a working mission internet completely craps out. Rip. Me.

If you're concerned about a lore reason for these items only being available through contested zones, keep in mind military items would not be purchasable by civilians, but pirates would sell them on the black market. More importantly, gameplay is more important than lore. And these are great fun

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

No issues with doors whatsoever

010

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

After finally successfully finishing one Contested zones, this stuff is AMAZING. This is exactly some of the grindy repeatable content I needed in Star Cit. This will make 4.0

Started watching Mad Men and like...did the entire world just smell like cigarettes in the 60s? I've counted less than 10 scenes in 7 episodes where someone isn't smoking, or there isn't the sign of it.

390

Croncy @croncy.bsky.social · 02/12/2024

Going from 3k follows to 300 does feel rough, as well as still a lack of companies over here yet. But like you said, the experience is just so much better.
