Ipswich v Southampton and us v Leicester at the weekend. A win for us and a Southampton win would be perfect.

Really enjoyed that Moyes first interview. He’s under no illusions about the job but I also think he knows Dyche wasn’t getting the best out the players. I hope DCL flourishes with more chances and there is a player in Harrison somewhere. Let’s see how he lines up. We still miss McNeil

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

If it wasn’t for going into the new stadium, I think we would be brave but the owners haven’t been here long and they have to make sure we stay in the prem this season. Acc to talksport, Moyes is happy with short term deal and reevaluate in the summer. Thats probably about right for us at the moment

I do understand all of the ‘careful what you wish for’ stuff but we don’t even look like scoring goals. Everyone around us does. Let’s hope they get the appointment right! They have to! I will say thanks to SD for Keeping us up the past 2 years on a shoestring. #Dyche

Taylor got to 14 finals in a row, 16 out of 17 and 19 in total, winning 14. Littler could match him but has to be pushed to keep the hunger.

110

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

Well done Luke!! I know Dart players are a different standard now compared to 10 years ago but I don’t think people remember how good Phil Taylor was. He just didn’t have enough players at the top level to compete with. Would’ve liked to have seen him in this generation playing both Luke’s etc.

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

I agree. I detest him But I think it’s because of the hype up his arse. He’s brilliant but the media literally have forgotten every other player in the game.

210

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Tbf Young doesn’t look out of place. Probably the fittest in the squad. I just can’t see us signing a whole new squad.

210

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 02/01/2025

Young has probably been our best player. Do you think he and Gana are worth another year. What about Coleman? Not worried about the rest but we will retain some.

Is Trent leaving Liverpool for nothing on the same scale as Sol Campbell signing for Arsenal for nothing.?

I think it affected Owen earlier when trying to remain in the match. His doubles were miles away. OK it may be because he doesn’t usually progress to hear all of it but They aren’t fans, they just wanna piss up.

110

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

Personally really dislike the lack of respect shown to the Darts players when the crowds boo and cheer missed doubles. This is the world championships. The pinnacle of their career and you’re booing them. Just because they aren’t English. It’s time to take the championships elsewhere or Rotate it.

Bit of a strange one to play a RB, AWB against him. They probably thought that it would work as Wan Bissaka is so good at 1v1 but it didnt

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

Does anyone else think that since a) Arteta and b) Maresca have left City that they aren’t quite tactically good enough to break teams down anymore?

010

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

DCL looked more of a threat when the CB had 2 strikers to deal with. Funny that!

000

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

Championship standard. Wasn’t he Benitez last signing. I was at the Brighton match that he got unveiled at on jan 2nd

000

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 29/12/2024

I don’t think our players even move for the crosses or take up decent positions. Look at the one near the end where 3 go for the same ball but no one backing up for a tap in.

They aren’t going to give SD the funds unless he’s staying beyond the summer. I don’t really want him spending the funds for another manager

010

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 27/12/2024

We would definitely be more attacking in general. We don’t have the players to just turn it on though. I Just think for the past 3 games, we’ve been what we needed to be.

Any draw against a top 6 is a bonus. Would you rather have beat Chelsea and then lost to Arsenal and City causing a -GD. Remember 2 were away as well. We do have to beat Forest though but that won’t be easy. Nuno got them playing well with similar type players to us.

Sorry for DCL playing that isolated role up front as it’s a hard graft and he will never get any plaudits for it. Myko has been ok but doesn’t offer anything going forward. We need to ride this season out, be ugly but just survive and then have a real good look. Thelwell will know now what funding

100

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 27/12/2024

The last 3 games are a look back into last season run in which worked well for us. Sit deep, counter attack and not try to be what we can’t be with this personnel. We are never going to be possession based with Gana, Doucs and Mangala but we can be in your face, not giving you an inch. I really feel

There’s some Decent playmakers in the championship. There’s another at Norwich too

000

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

Anyone seen that Chakvetadze at Watford play. He’s so good, too good for the championship. He would be a decent signing for #Everton

121

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 22/12/2024

Once he took a touch, the chance was alot harder and he was only going one way. Give credit to Sanchez but Harrison could’ve lifted it. I think Ndiaye bottled his chance that got blocked. If he see it coming he could’ve took a touch right. But harsh though

000

Carl Rolfe @crolfe1981.bsky.social · 16/12/2024

I think having Mangala next to him really helps him. Mangala is someone I think we should sign. Another workhorse to eventually replace Gana

One of those days where I expect us to defend well until the first goal goes in and then fall apart. Anything positive will be a bonus. Let’s not all act like idiots when the inevitable happens at 3pm. Good times are ahead!
