Change Sets turn 16 this year. They haven't aged well. No source control. No record support. Read-only once uploaded. And a UX that makes you manually hunt down every dependency. Salesforce just gave admins a proper alternative, DX Inspector.

If Change Sets are still how your org deploys, you select components one by one, hoping you didn’t miss a dependency, then watching your Changes go read-only once uploaded. Change Sets haven’t meaningfully changed since 2010, and there hasn’t been a real native alternative. Until now.

Dynamic Forms in Salesforce feel wonky out of the box. With Page Layouts, fields align nicely by default. With Dynamic Forms, you have to manually enable “Align Fields Horizontally” every time to get the same behaviour.
