I feel like I’ve got a good mix of games I’m chugging through between Devil May Cry 5, Fire Emblem Three Houses (Golden Deer best house), and FF7 Remake. Add in the occasional Binding of Isaac run, and we’re pretty set for awhile (at least until Fortune’s Weave comes out 😬)

Thinking about it, there probably isn’t one. We’ve marched towards a digital age I guess. The only consoles I see in the next 10-15 years might be portable handhelds or streaming sticks 🤷‍♂️

So far, I’m really digging the Edgar Allen Poe sections of DMC5. That fact that literally reading a book as a way to charge your powers during the chaos is incredible.

I think some coffee and DMC is a great start to a bonus day off ☕️

Not any specific game, but these pictures take me back to being a five year old kid, craning my head up to play a demo of the OG Smash Bros or just picking up one of the GBC game boxes to read the back. Just wandering around ogling at the sheer amount of games was a different feel back then 👴

In between my Devil May Cry sessions, I’ve also kicked off Dragon Quest 3 2DHD. Couldn’t have picked more similar games.

I’m not surprised about Sony’s recent anti-physical media take. Less surprised about them removing storefronts after they removed some digital movies not long ago. I hate this is the future of gaming. Whole catalogues gone without notice and a lack of centralized preservation just sucks.

Playing through DMC5, and I absolutely see the DMC DNA everyone was talking about with the FFXVI combat (which was very addictive to me) Idk why I’ve never played any of the Devil May Cry games but hot damn this is good.

Before I jump into it, and since I’ve actually never played through Devil May Cry, is DMC 5 a decent starting point?

After an extended social media break, I’m back and still playing games!!! Actually just finished Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined! I never played a Dragon Quest game - I’ve now purchased 1-3 HD versions for Switch 2 to burn through after DMC 5 👀

Waking up to see price increases on all PlayStation 5 hardware is rough. For reference, the PS5 Digital launched at $399 and is now $599. Makes me grateful I bit the bullet at launch. Absolutely WILD that its increased 50% since 2020. WHAT.

Animal Crossing was fine. Minecraft is alright. But Pokopia. This is wild. I’m absolutely immersed in this game and OBSESSED with building everything out while exploring. This is the chill game I’ve been looking for forever.

I grew up playing Pokemon RBY. I must of had some absolute patience as a kid leveling my Pokemon up because DAMN it’s a grind in FireRed at the beginning. Makes me somewhat appreciate the team EXP Share automatically enabled in modern games…

I’ll always remember when i got my copy of Super Mario Sunshine here. My mom took me there once and we browsed like always. And each time we walked by the GameCube section, I’d be ogling the game. We didn’t have a lot of money, but she got it for me anyways. I still have it, and always will.

Nintendo Partner Direct Summary: - Lots of ports coming to Switch 2 (FF7 Rebirth, Fallout 4, Oblivion Remastered) - RE 7-9 coming 2/26 - No Atlus presence, which is weird I think this was a safe direct that plays a lot of catch up on getting current-gen games on new hardware. (1/3)

This is probably one of the cooler things over learned about video game history in a bit. Considering this led to so many things (physical game collections, game sharing, etc.), it’s safe to say Jerry Lawson left an incredible legacy.

After putting about 4-5 hours into The Outer Worlds, I’m just not finding myself clicking with it at all. Idk if it’s just because it’s the first world or just the same enemies/weapons, but it’s just not gripping me. I think I’ve figured I can ‘beat’ the game early but this might get shelved 😬
