Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 23/09/2026The tone is pretty serious throughout, but there are some funny moments around the main character not understanding how to be “normal.” Sometimes comes across as a little edgy/tryhard, but I found it kind of endearing? The “psychotic,” overpowered main character is oddly relatable sometimes? 111 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I think I already mentioned it, but I liked Monsters & Legends (Infinite Realm #1) by Ivan Kal. A sorta-kinda redemption-ish tale about a dude who loses his humanity obsessing over RPG mechanics. A little cliché, a little camp, a little cringe sometimes, but oddly enjoyable. 110 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Starfinder team… I love you, but… these new emoji spells… Why didn’t you give them the emoji trait? Why are other spells having to reference them as “spells with emoji/moji in the name”? This is, like, exactly what the trait system is for… 😭 120 0

Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 16/07/2026Okay, if a CEO can’t be bothered to respond to an email, set up a meeting, or consider the ramifications of terminating agreements on the business… what on earth *do* they do? 000 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Yeah, obviously I don’t want to speculate too much, but it’s the only way it makes sense to me. This partnership cost nothing to keep going, AFAIK, so ending it has to be worth *something*, right? I mean, aside from the negative value of reputation damage. 010 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Luckily, Nethys will still be the best reference available even without he pictures, but like... you can't get them the early PDF copies? If the Foundry volunteer team can get them, why not Nethys? 000 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 15/07/2026C'mon @paizo.com, this is the best digital reference out there, by far, and you got it for free thanks to the blood, sweat, and tears of the community. I sure hope this isn't a move influenced by certain other paid digital references to push for an exclusive SRD license... 240 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I’d love to see more pressure on platform holders to have more stringent quality standards than “literally anything goes.” There’s got to be some middle-ground between that and the ol’ Nintendo Seal of Quality, right? Filling your stores with slop can’t be good for anyone’s business in the long run. 020 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 10/07/2026But also: I honestly love Faie’s voice. My favorite childish voice in recent memory, possibly ever. Her “Shhh… I’m hidinnnng!!!” when you recall her makes me smile every time. 000 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Also, I hate the way Faie recaps cutscenes right after they finish. My husband realized that it must be for people who skip the cutscenes to still understand what to do next and… ugh. Maybe don’t make your game for people who won’t like your game? 110 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Like, I get it. A lot of players are inattentive and forget game mechanics. Give them hints if they are struggling. But maybe give people a sec to figure it out on their own? Maybe once they prove they know something, stop re-explaining it? 100 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 10/07/2026I genuinely don’t know how the team thought the constant commentary was okay to launch with? It’s fine the first time they use any given voice line, as a sort of tutorial hint, but “Is that a cracked wall? We should try a bomb!” every single time felt almost like intentional parody. 110 0
Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 02/07/2026> The first time Sanders kills anyone arrives 45 minutes into the film, and it’s the wanton and needless slaughter of a roomful of cops. Jason Hamilton @criticalham.bsky.social · 07/11/2025$6000 is the actual goal. It launched as a flex campaign (creator gets the funds even if they don’t hit 100%), but indiegogo removed that campaign type partway through. As a hack to achieve the same result, IGG just set the campaign goal to the $ amount it had, which makes it seem “100% funded.” 041 0
