So I was exploring agentic workflows and all that stuff people shills a ton. I think agents are able to do very simple tasks pretty much fine in web dev but anything beyond that why wont you create codegen tools for yourself with your conventions and preferences instead of tons of rules and skills?

Trying Coolify on Hetzner and loving it — learned a lot about securing a VPS and self-hosting Nixpacks sucks though and fails on SvelteKit so I used a Dockerfile and I might offload builds to GitHub to prevent CPU spikes Excited about v5 since it's using Svelte for the frontend

I was exploring postgres LISTEN/NOTIFY and this video came at the perfect timing. This might be a naive implementation as it is my first time checking this out but it worked flawlessly with live queries and works with transactions afaik! I could use a trigger fn instead of publish(), but it works 😌

Svelte pro tip: I surprised myself writing this very cool pattern You can make a prop be either an attribute or a snippet: very handy when you want to provide two "size variants" of the same content!
The component implementing it:
1) a prop with a union type `string | Snippet` imported from "svelte" (can be anything else than a string btw
2) with an `{#if}` block, check whether the prop is `typeof prop === "string"` to use it as a regular string, or wrap it in a `{@render}` block in the `{:else}` branch otherwise: easy!On usage, it's type-safe and flexible: the prop stays mandatory (if you declare it so), but can be used either as an attribute (`prop="content"`) or as a snippet with whatever you want inside!

the single biggest criticism svelte has received over the years is 'you can't have multiple components in a file'. so we fixed it! by making them unnecessary. with declaration tags (svelte.dev/docs/svelte/...), snippets/each blocks/etc can have their own state: svelte.dev/playground/a...

[1/2] I don't normally make commentary videos, but after seeing the entirety of Eric Schmidt's University of Arizona commencement speech, I felt like there was a lot more going on than just "CEO mentions AI, gets booed". So I made a video to explain what upset me about it.

I just binge watched some talks and videos about Gleam and Lustre, I'm really interested. I wonder if something like the model, view, update pattern could be applied to other frameworks like Svelte, c'mon TEA for The Elm Architecture, we could do the funniest thing and make Sveltea 😂

This is kind of funny because I did this when I started learning, I wanted to understand what went behind the scenes and it's pretty useful but not only that I explored Web Components, jQuery, Astro, React and Svelte too. Guess what I went with? Svelte and Astro. Performance & DX They just better 😌

I'm actually trying Sveltia CMS rn for some projects I need to tackle and the experience is being awesome so far, just yesterday they added reordering entries, the only thing I would want is typescript first support to get types and imports directly from collections but I'm loving it!
