Hamas didn’t just kill Israelis. Nepalese, Phillipino, Arabs were all killed in a joyous, gleeful massacre the terrorists and Gazan civilians recorded in glorious technicolour. Yet the celebrations went on in the streets of the UK as the rest of us, those who were not cowards, watched, horrified.

What you don’t do is: ❌ ask social media users what they think ❌ make decisions based on speculation ❌ ask Trump for his opinion

THE HOT STORY
Early release will ease overcrowding
Up to 6,000 criminals, including those convicted of serious offences like manslaughter and rape, will be released early from prison starting in September.
Justice Secretary David Lammy has announced legal changes allowing these offenders to be freed halfway through their sentences, rather than the current two-thirds. The first 700 offenders will be released in September, with similar numbers following each month. This comes as ministers look to ease overcrowding in prisons. Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy has condemned the plan, calling it "an insult to victims and a threat to the public." Tom Wheatley, of the Prison Governors' Association, noted that there will "inevitably be individual victims who have suffered at the hands of an offender who will become very upset" over the plans. A Ministry of Justice spokesman said:
"Without this decisive action, prisons would have run out of space entirely, making it impossible for convicted offenders to be sent to prison and risking the complete breakdown of the criminal justice system."

I recently dealt with a case where two shop assistants got stabbed by a lady with severe mental health issues causing a ruptured bicep. They were not aware she had a knife. Please do not follow this advice.

A hero who disarmed one of the two gunmen at Bondi Beach told his cousin he thought he was going to die before taking on the attacker.
Ahmed al-Ahmed, a Syrian national who served in the police, said: "I'm going to die ... tell my family I saved people's lives," before he charged at one of the shooters and wrestled away his rifle.
Mr al-Ahmad, a 13-year-old father of two, remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery for multiple gunshot wounds.
Outside the hospital on Monday morning Jozay Alkanj, told reporters of his cousin's bravery, saying: "He said: I'm going to die, please see my family and tell them that I went down to save people's lives."

Well-known actress Amy Nuttall, (whose father is a Barrister and Recorder and a darling man) is featured in this issue of Runner’s World magazine. She is running for her wonderful mum whom they lost recently to brain cancer. Please donate if you can? www.justgiving.com/page/amy-nut...

Nuttall
The actress and singer, 43, who has appeared in Downton Abbey and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, on her reasons for running
Growing up, I always enjoyed team sports, but anything competition-based, forget it.
Swimming galas were always the worst, I would shy away from any sort of attention on me in a sports capacity. Performing and singing were always more my strengths.
When I was in Emmerdale and coming up to 20, I used to run.
Lots of the cast supported leukaemia charities, so I ran with them at the Great North Run twice.
But I didn't train that much, so found it impossibly hard; both times I came over the finish line crying, thinking I'll never do anything like that again.
I did feol extremely fit when I used to perform in West End shows. We did eight performances a week so l was also exhausted. Sadly, I've never played a role where I needed to be super athletic, although I've always fancied a part where I was forced to get really fit to learn kickboxing or some skill like that for the character.
When my mum passed away two years ago, it inspired me to run again. Mum was diagnosed with a glioblastoma [the most aggressive type of cancer, which starts in the brain] in July 2023 and died in the October. Before she passed, I remember her saying that someone like me should help spread the word about brain tumours and raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.
That became my focus to deal with
my grief and the trauma of losing Mum.
It was after sharing a bottle of wine with a friend that I thought, I've got to get fit. I'd recorded a song for The Brain Tumour Charity last year, but decided to commit to a race and step outside my comfort zone.
I've signed up for this year's Royal Parks
Half. I've been training since the spring, doing a 10K each week along
Training for a run in her mum's memory and raising money for
with three shorter runs.
I've increased my
The Brain Tumour Charity
distances as the big
day gets closer. And when life doesn't get in the way…
