54 years ago today, leukemia took my father at only 38 years old. Not a day goes by without me thinking of him and the lessons he taught me about integrity, honor and compassion. I love amsmiss you and Mom so much. I strive to approach each day in a way that will honor the both of you.

I never realized how many van Gogh pieces still existed. From finished paintings to rough sketches and everything in between. His eye, his strokes, and color choice are all incredible. Sometimes even the simplest of sketches, the suggestions of form will provoke an emotional reaction.

I've followed the Eagles since I was a boy in the early 1960s, watching them with my father on a black and white TV. I still tear up when I hear the song as memories of a simpler time resurface. Emotionally, I live and die on each play, I hope my heart can take another big game.
