Just came to the sudden conclusion that Vampire Hunter D probably shaped a lot of my tastes aesthetically. For someone whose phone wallpaper has been D for about a decade, this was not a fast realization.

With my current (only halfway) session of BG3, it became my most hours played game on steam. And I even want to do another playthrough with a Rand al'Thor inspired main character after that, it's over.

Copied Nemo with impunity. Half of these games I'm never going to replay and some of them I like for different reasons than their actual community, for example SH2 did not shape my love for horror/survival/atmosphere, but my love for exploring areas to find keys to open new areas etc.

Thinking about Wheel of Time. I believe I have read enough books to finally say that I understand what happened at the end of the first book. I am currently in more than half the series done, this is insane. Robert Jordan's writing style manages to be both over-analytical and yet not enough.

Somehow the golden rule of my childhood "politeness gets you ignored, anger gets the other person to respect you" remains true to this day. 1 hour of polite conversation: 0 results 5 minutes me screaming: yes sir As you like it I guess. I don't understand it but there it is.

Keeping track of all the people around Rand trying to make two separate lists between "Trustworthy" and "Untrustworthy" only to reach a complication for the second category where there should be "Untrustworthy A - Evil" and "Untrustworthy B - Stupid" that further complicates things.

I've been making collages of games I complete every year for fun, in a 4x4 grid and this is the first year I actually finished 16 games and it is not even December. I suppose two of the games I beat in like a day so without them I'd be at only 14 but it sure feels weird. Might replay Dishonored.

I'm starting to understand BG3 a little better (my first playthrough was a nightmare, I couldn't beat anything without save scumming so that took away a lot of the fun) so in my mind I can definitely visualize three more playthroughs for the future. That's nice, replaying games is good.

Somehow in this BG3 playthrough I'm completely lost and the first areas I've found are kinda end-game dungeons. Still haven't found any of the easy stuff. But hey, that means I have House of Hope gear early, not complaining.
