Which is bewildering to me, bc that’s just about as obvious a thing as you can get!

Oh it’s biphobia. Bi-erasure is definitely a form of biphobia. It’s probably the most prevalent manifestation of it.

130

Biphobia is all over the place. It’s such a shame!

It’s something I’ve seen A LOT in another fandom I’m in, but definitely didn’t expect to see it happen here. Probably a bit naive considering the significant number of new fans for this season.

120

Exactly. It goes SO FAR beyond feeling negatively about that choice.

130

Totally agree! It’s been genuinely shocking to me. The level of entitlement is genuinely astounding. They act as though every aspect of the show is meant to follow their whims, and that their ship is the backbone of the entire story. A lot of it has to do with how young they are, I bet.

It’s WILD!! I can’t get over that level of entitlement!

It really is WILD!! They handled it SO well, too! The other three recurring character deaths of that episode were horrifically brutal & not quick, & we were shown that brutality. W Siuan, not only was it a quick death, but we BARELY saw it. That feels like a conscious, respectful choice.

170

YES!!! That’s what nearly made me say something, bc they definitely do not speak for all of us

050

Completely agree! TV show creators & actors are not responsible for our mental health!

190

Similar levels of parasocial entitlement!

020

I mean, I’m sure more characters are going to get killed bc it’s the fantasy apocalypse TV show that’s been told they’re not allowed to collect characters like the books. So we should all be expecting more deaths. But that behavior is SO entitled & parasocial. It blows my mind!

0100

I’ve never seen anything like it before! It makes me wonder if this is the first major character death they’ve ever experienced or something. And I REALLY don’t get what people expect from a show about the fantasy apocalypse! There’s gonna be a lotta death!!

I was VERY tempted, but I just blocked the lot of them and moved on

030

They’re requesting an apology to the fandom & acknowledgement of harm!

#WoTSkies #TheWheelOfTime WHAT IN THE PARASOCIAL AUDACITY?!?! Apparently a group of Siuaraine fans put together an “open letter” to Rafe & Prime accusing them of being genuinely harmful with Siuan’s fate, going so far as to claim damage to their mental health. WHAT IS HAPPENING????

Still not over this scene! I pumped my fist so hard, and screamed so loud for my girl #Nynaeve. I love that, in the end, she listened to her own advice, and encouraged herself. @amazonprime.bsky.social you need to renew this show so we can see what she does with that power! #TheWheelofTime #RenewWoT

A still of Nynaeve channeling magic in the show, "The Wheel of Time." Her face is hesitant yet hopeful as she uses her magic, at will, for the first time.

After reading someone raving about the culmination of Rand's personal journey, I now realize my hottest take is that there are two kinds of Wheel of Time fans: Those who connected with Rand and his struggles... and those of us who thought he was homework to see more interesting characters progress.

They ended up blocking me, too, and I really was trying to interact in good faith. 😔

VERY well said! I’ve tried getting this point across to several people, and I don’t think I’ve worded it as well.

020

Yeah, I’ve taken to pretty much only replying to people’s posts if I know I can engage with in good faith. I try to engage in good faith to the less than pleasant responses to some of my own posts, with mixed results.

#TheWheelOfTime #WoTShowSpoilers An EXCELLENT thread unpacking why Siuan’s gut-wrenching fate in 3x8 doesn’t equate to BYG, no matter how painful it is.

0222

I know! Even when I try to have friendly, reasonable conversations with some of them, I’m so often met with nastiness! It’s really frustrating.

150

I’m still giving it a try, but I’m nowhere near as dedicated as them!
