I start PT for my head/neck/shoulders this week! It should help me form a good regular plan for working out/stretching my neck so my nerves don't pinch again! And then 🥁🥁🥁 I'm having another Lumbar Puncture!! I. Suspect. That my lupus does have a part in this. So I just want to be sure!

So what's being done?? My first line of defense was starting Prednisone again, to get me off all the meds. Get to a baseline again. Secondly, I had a Occipital Nerve Block done!! They inject you with some kind of numbing agent (I forget what mine was specifically). Yes it hurt 😭😭 not great

Saw them. Turns out, it's a mixture of things! - Pretty intense Occipital Neuralgia - Medication Overuse (both with my Rizatripan AND painkillers) - Potential Lupus Flare Up ON is when your occipital nerves are irritated. In my case, they were so irritated I couldn't even hold my own head up.

Around the beginning of June, I rapidly started to deteriorate again. I couldn't be in any room without a migraine. Curtains were changed out, lights couldn't be on, I couldn't do ANYTHING. Finally lose it when I have a migraine so bad I considered going to the ER. I got in touch with my Neurologist

But things started to look up! I got my official pair of long term glasses and my migraines started clearing up as I was taken off my migraine medicine. I was able to celebrate my 23rd birthday in peace, I had a wonderful time with my partner, we went and saw The Backrooms. But the universe hates me

Right around this time, I cut off my entire IRL friend group because they decided to defend my abuser and what he had done to me during our relationship, which added a whole layer of stress onto my life. My only relief during this time was laying in the dark and not doing anything ->

SO! To start this off we have to go back to ⭐March⭐ I finally got some* answer about my year's long migraine. It turned out my eye glasses prescription was WAYYY too high (almost a point too high in both eyes). Got new glasses, and woohoo! I can see! And not be in pain! Except I wasn't 😞
