There is an ice cream truck that drives through my neighborhood for several hours every afternoon, with the same 45 second clip on repeat. It’s the melody to “Frere Jacques” followed by 3 seconds of silence, then a dog barking twice, then “HELLO!” Over and over again. Absolute madness.

Honestly surprised Clint Eastwood didn’t get an Oscar nomination for Juror #2. The pacing was a masterclass in restrained, laser-focused storytelling. It’s getting rarer to see (non-horror) films where the director’s influence is palpable in every scene.
