I think Asimov invented AI safety (Three Laws Of Robotics) and also Wikipedia via Encyclopedia Galactica. @greatdismal.bsky.social invented the AI police aka Turing Police.

Every July 4th she traces how we got here. Not to despair but because you can’t defend what you don’t understand. Two hundred and fifty years in, with the republic this contested, her letter tonight carries more weight than any fireworks.

Johnson told donors at Faith & Freedom: if Democrats win midterms “half of you in this room will be targeted.” “I run the protection program. I’ll take care of you.” The House speaker just told his donors that protecting them from congressional oversight is why they must win. He said it out loud.

Order No. 3 declared freedom in 1865. The Black Codes began within weeks. The 14th Amendment passed in 1868. Jim Crow followed within years. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021. Louisiana v. Callais gutted voting rights in 2026. The pattern is not a mystery. It is the mechanism.

Three weeks ago I mapped how public contracts built a launch monopoly, a satellite monopoly captured broadband funding, and the IPO would convert it all into private equity and lock democratic correction out. Friday it happened. The first trillionaire is a government product.

The administration’s economic advisor responded to 15-year-high credit card delinquencies by expressing concern about the credit card companies. Not the Americans carrying the debt. The companies collecting it. That’s not an accidental emphasis. That’s who this government works for.

The arch frames Lee’s plantation instead of Lincoln’s memorial. Now an AI image of a white family from 1955: “BILLIONS WERE SPENT TO CONVINCE YOU THIS IS EVIL.” The architectural project and the narrative project are the same project. Rewrite who the republic was built for.

A federal judge blocked it. Thirty-five former judges called it fraud on the court. A dozen Republican senators want it gone. The $1.776 billion machine built to protect itself is being dismantled by the institutions it was designed to capture.

The 1776 slush fund wasn’t corruption. It was infrastructure — a loyalty payment system built inside the federal government, branded with the number the insurrectionists used to describe January 6. Today a federal judge shut it down.

Pardon the insurrectionists. Purge the prosecutors. Delete the records. Create a $1.776 billion fund to pay the participants. The judiciary just blocked step four. One branch still works.

Thirty-five former federal judges just called the $1.776 billion slush fund a fraud on the court. The lawsuit that justified it was never adversarial — Trump was both plaintiff and controller of the defendant. The legal fig leaf was the point. The money was always the goal.

Peter Thiel just relocated his family to Argentina. Enrolled his kids in school there. Bought a mansion in Buenos Aires. The NYT calls it a Plan B. It's not a Plan B. It's the thesis made operational. 🧵

The company that built ICE's deportation targeting system just got paid $3.9 million to surveil federal workers at the USDA. The VA wants the same system across 311 locations. The SSA is next. Same tools. New target. ↓

The triumphal arch at Arlington. The UFC arena at the White House. The Rose Garden paved over. The East Wing gutted. The Reflecting Pool at seven times cost. This isn’t renovation. It’s rebranding. The republic’s spaces are being converted into Trump properties one by one.

Johnson blocked Congress from voting. Collins holds the vote and won’t call it. Two different mechanisms; one imposed from outside, one chosen from within. Same result: the authority stays on paper. Abdication is harder to fight than capture. You can’t vote out someone who surrendered voluntarily.

A sanctioned PR firm running false-flag operations under presidential admin “direction and control.” Russia outsources destabilization the same way states outsource everything: through private contractors with plausible deniability. The structure is corporate. The product is social fracture.

The 60-day war powers clock ran out May 1. Congress had the authority to force withdrawal. Johnson sent them home early to stop the vote. That’s not dysfunction. That’s the institution disarming itself from the inside.

Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion. His own DOJ settled the case. The deal created a $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded “anti-weaponization” fund AND permanently bars the IRS from examining his family’s past tax returns.

Nine days after the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, four states moved to eliminate majority-Black congressional districts. Tennessee's only majority-Black district — held for 18 terms — was split across three districts in a single special session. I mapped the full machine:

I spent four months reconstructing the complete record of congressional oversight of DOJ from 2017 to April 2026. Every subpoena. Every contempt vote. Every court filing. The finding: every tool Article I has was tested. Every one failed. Not because of politics — because of how they're wired.

This isn’t a story about hypocrisy. That charge is so dulled by overuse it no longer cuts. It’s a story about idolatry — the slow, documented process by which a political figure was substituted for the divine, with the active help of the institutions sworn to prevent it. The Golden Calf Cracks.
