What do my fellow Indie Game Devs think of Social Media Platforms such as this and others with regards to Marketing ? Is there any real value doing that ? Do results come ? My feeling is that it is fairly ineffective but I'm likely to have done it wrong anyway. #indiedev

Im nearing 55, and despite what the younger generations in tech may think of our generations' capabilities, i have no problem learning new tech - in fact i feel it easier than when i was younger. Is anyone else here and still doing well with regards to this?

Balance in your game is massively important. Get the balance wrong and players can be left either unsatisfied with it's ease or crushed by it's difficulty. Where would you rank balance in the overall importance of the varying aspects of game development ?

As a software developer working with AI tools the last month or so, right now I have absolute no concern that it will take over my job. It's just not that good. I mean it's good as another tool but that's about it.

Copilot is the smartest imbecile I have ever worked with. Anyone else have this experience ?

Are you worried that using AI for coding is going to 'bracket' your solutions to the Narrow knowledge of the AI's information, disregarding potentially much better solutions that with a bit more thought you yourself could come up with ?

What's yoir split of time between bluesky and other social media ? I think for now for me it is 10% blue sky and 90% other. But i hope to change that going forward.

Seems to be some decent momentum building up here on bluesky. What do you think 2025 will hold ? Continued momentum ? Accelerated momentum ? Or a decline ? Will be interesting regardless.

With 2025 approaching fast and reflecting on 2024, i realised i hit an achievement i may never do again, and that was to release two games to steam in the same year. What achievements did you make in 2024 ?

Since releasing tunnel assault in november, inspiration for my next project has been low. Sure, I've had some thoughts and played around with things, but nothing that feels like a winner. So here i sit waiting for the next big thought, wondering when it'll hit.
