it's weird how the driving force was just music behind that entire era. sheer musicality being a guiding light. there was a jazz pianist who did a version of teen spirit, and it was kinda like, way too unfaithful. robert glasper did it well though.

people I really valued didn't really dig nirvana as much as I did, but God damn, do they probably blame nirvanaism for certain things. nirvanas music is like the most condensed good mainstream music. if you don't think nirvana if thoughtfully composed you probably went to too much music school

but nirvana didn't really get any worse over time, just further in the past. definitely has something of an actual ending and arc. I don't know if it's more of a victorious one or something horrible. maybe emotionally it's horrible, but symbolically it's a good ending. which is p insane to say
