Why does Japan have such a backwards approach to passwords? Globally it’s accepted to be as complex as possible but here they limit character amounts and don’t allow special characters. I don’t trust my data being kept secret in Japan at all. What is the actual restriction? Database structures?

Last night our beloved cat Leo passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He was only 6 years old and his passing is total shock to the family. He was a very kind, well natured cat that we’ll all terribly miss around the house.

Update on Momi, the cat that I rescued after being hit by a car in front of me. We are going to keep her. As you can see she has settled down to bean-bag life pretty well. She gets on well with the other two cats too #cats

Agree, we have entire cities that are run on battery storage to balance the grid. Japan is missing a massive opportunity with solar, especially when the best solar companies with the highest yield are made by Japanese companies

Yeah I get that but if we are moving to AI it needs to be trained properly to do its work accurately in the future. As I’m sure you know from a translation point of view, AI can do a lot but it still needs a human to make it work accurately

If they are rolling out AI in critical areas, they need humans to check this info before it goes out. If this ends up on your medical record they are going to treat you for things you don’t have. Extremely dangerous

Try komoot for route planning. It detects good bike roads and you can prioritise them. Strava is also good if you have premium

I’ve done most of that trip, I have been thinking of cycling up to Nagano and stopping at takasaki before heading north. Your best bet is to use the Arakawa for as far north as you can go. The connected cycle paths should take you most of the way. It’s about 80km so doable in a day

He spent his life in prison for something he didn’t do, ¥40 million is nowhere near enough. What about lost earnings? If he had worked a ¥3m a year job that’s a minimum of ¥120m of lost earnings. You can’t buy a house for ¥40m these days.
