Loads? Their rigid and by this point, seemingly spiteful adherence to an "ONLY ONE WOMEN'S MATCH ON DYNAMITE" policy remains their biggest problem and that's been a constant since day one. No, WWE aren't a whole lot better (with the exception of NXT), but it shouldn't be about who's the least worst!

#StarTrek and #OnlyFoolsAndHorses share an anniversary today (60 years for Trek, 45 for OFAH). And whilst the two series don't have much else in common, it did occur to me that there is a certain similarity in the core design of their respective vehicles.

I'm just not here for tribalism or "X is better than Y because this". I just wanna see talented women across all feds getting a fair crack at the whip. And there is literally no justifiable argument for AEW's rigid, intractable, 6 year plus policy of only allowing one women's match on Dynamite. 🤷

It shouldn't be a point of comparison. "Well, those guys aren't great either" isn't an excuse. BOTH companies need to do better. But AEW putting a women's match in the main event occasionally doesn't distract from them consistently having minimal women's matches. Especially on their flagship show.

I popped into my local Nerd Base this morning and discovered they've got a cabinet shelf full of CO figures. Which meant I was finally able to pick up the only other Doctor that I've wanted a figure of for a while. And for the very reasonable (and extremely appropriate) price of just £6! #DoctorWho

I've seen a few people lay the blame for the current #DoctorWho situation squarely at the feet of Jodie and Chibnall. And to be honest, I think they're right. From 2018 to 2022, Doctor Who absolutely peaked. And so it was inevitable that anything after that would feel like a bit of a downgrade. 😁

Oh yeah, no argument there. But what's to say the new series won't do the same? Sure, it's gotta tidy up the mess left by RTD, but we won't know for certain if this "era" has ended until the new one starts and how much it retains and/or abandons from where Bad Wolf'n'Disney left off.

Not mad, but curious how you're defining "this era ending"? I mean, I also consider series 1-13 and the specials/seasons 1+2 as one all encompassing "New Who" era. But if we're saying Disney Who is in the same era as Rose, wouldn't that also then extend to whatever comes next, whenever that may be?

He doesn't. Even if this rumour (AKA excuse) held any weight at all, Tony has had SIX YEARS to push back against it. And we're not exactly talking about making some heroic stand that could put AEW's very existence at risk. We're talking about putting two women's matches on a wrestling show. 🫤

When was this effort ever made? AEW's only-one-womens-match-on-Dynamite status quo has been in place since day one. Back then, everyone was like "It's a new company, you have to give them time!" Now, fans attempt to justify it (whilst claiming to support women's wrestling) with different excuses. 😑

As for Billie, I just feel like that ship has looooong since sailed. She should have won the title on either of her previous attempts. Instead, we've just had literally years of their relationship being all over the place, as though creative can't remember/be bothered what Billie's motivations are.

I thought they were teasing Maya. She's the only ROH wrestler to have had a singles match with Athena during her reign and not lost. Which lead to a title match that she only lost through interference. But then ROH seemingly binned all that and went back to the on again/off again Billie stuff.

They haven't had interesting stories to tell DURING those three years. She's had one storyline/feud with Billie, which has gone nowhere on multiple occasions and been consistently inconsistent with Billie's reactions/motivations. Beyond that, it's all just been one and done title challenges.
