Retired community worker, love my dog, the Northumberland countryside and nature. Wishing for more compassion in politics but think I'll be waiting a long time 🙄

I love Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. He's blocking J6 insurrectionists from working in state jobs. "No one who attempts to overthrow a government should serve in government." 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Senator Adam Schiff torched Donald Trump on the MeidasTouch Network: "He will do and say whatever he thinks is best for him. If that means making up stuff about a crash...or fires...any disaster or failure on his own part. He will lie and obfuscate, blame everyone else, play the victim." 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Donald Trump says that "people will understand" that prices will go up because of his Trump Tax tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China. He campaigned on lowering the price of food and goods, not raising them.

In that case, let's throw out the guy with the accent from South Africa who's trying to get access to government officials' personal data. Or let's send Melania Trump packing out of the White House. How do you like those ideas, Marjorie Taylor Greene?

What Trump plans to do today... a big look via @motherjones.com reporters. Expect him to (try to, in some cases): ➡️ End birthright citizenship ➡️ Impose tariffs, causing prices to skyrocket ➡️ Issue pardons to insurrectionists ➡️ Eliminate trans rights across gov't www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

It's gonna be a rough 24 hours: FORWARD FACING COOPER'S HAWK #birds 🪶
A Cooper's Hawk facing the camera nearly straight-on, while sitting on a green moss-covered oak tree branch. The bird is mostly brown and white colors on its chest; the visible wings and head are more brown feathers than white.

Trump symbolises the fragility of democracy. It's now tangled in a web of coercion, masterminded by those vast corporate interests to whom we stupidly gave complete control.' Claire Jones writes for for WEBylines on what Trump's presidency signifies - westenglandbylines.co.uk/politics/tru...

“Trump’s return demands that every one of us in Europe, the USA and elsewhere, gets a grip. If we fail to, our democracies, our security, our prosperity and our well-being, won’t survive.” This is it💯⬇️ Folks need to understand!

Get ready to return to the wild! ❄️ #Winterwatch returns to our screens on Tuesday 21st January 2025, live from the magical RSPB Arne. From soaring white-tailed eagles to the hidden life of the heathlands, we can’t wait to see what nature has in store...
A frosty winter sunrise casts a soft golden glow over the heathlands of *RSPB Arne. Delicate frost clings to the gorse in the foreground, its spiky branches dusted with ice crystals. In the distance, clusters of pine and birch trees stand quietly beneath the pale morning sky. The stillness of the landscape hints at the hidden wildlife preparing for another winter day.

Donald Trump's return to power will mark a new era steeped in rule-breaking, authoritarian tendencies, and a deep hostility to civic institutions. And according to him, a herculean portion of this agenda will kick into gear immediately. Here's what to expect on Day One.
