And it's not just that Elon embraces white supremacist ideology. His cancellation of USAid has killed hundreds of thousands and some estimates project over 10M excess deaths by 2030. Posting on Twitter equates to moral approval of Elon's behavior. Is that worth the 'action'?

OK. But there are many different ways to achieved universal healthcare, and The Netherlands achieved universal healthcare by switching from a mostly public system to a system that, at its core, is very much like Obamacare.

I think that's probably true for most young men. And I think that's why some companies allow employees to choose a plan where money is added to your paycheck instead of deducted and why that's a good choice for most men in their 20s.

Depends what you mean by "dropped the ball". I'm old enough to remember when everyone was predicting a recession. Then Joe Biden conjured up millions of consumers and workers out of thin air and ... no recession.

I'm no anti, but unless someone figures how to make this shit 100 times cheaper (or 10x at a minimum), that market correction is coming I'm happy to pay my $60:month in various subscriptions. Not sure I would pay the $600/month that would get those providers above water

Does it? Is there a new bill? Because the last bill I saw did *nothing* to reign in healthcare providers whose CEO's who $10M/year. Medicare for All is a neoliberal plan that relies on private industry to provide healthcare.

Unsurprisingly, 60 Minutes ratings are down. What people like Ellison don’t understand is that many of us wouldn’t watch CBS News, including 60 Minutes, if you paid us. Like Bezos, they don’t understand that consuming content is as much a statement of values as anything.

I don't know. I guess I'm just old. But what I'd like to see in a foldable iPhone is something that folds vertically like the old Startac or Razr. So, when it's in in my pocke, it's small, but when I take it out to use it, it's like my regular sized iPhone.

Vast majority of voters? Last time single- payer was on a state ballot (CO 2016) it lost by 50 points. And the reason it will never win if put to the voters is because no rational Medicaid recipient would ever vote for it. Also, M4A is a neoliberal program that leaves in place for-profit providers

Right. Except for the fact that if you don't have income you can be on MediCal (which is whyM4A needs to steal money from that program). And if you have income you can get Obamacare subsidies. What we need is education and structural changes. Or VA for all, if we're gonna do another reset.

California may soon be able to eliminate entirely fossil gas peaker plants because a combination of batteries, hydro, and imports (which themselves are 58% WindWaterSolar and growing) provide the exact same service but at a much lower cost and faster ramp rate (and more cleanly and safely).

If there is ever evidence on a large grid (eg, 4th-largest world economy) that deploy, deploy, deploy a mix of clean, renewable energy+storage techs (wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, batteries) as fast as possible is the answer to eliminating fossil fuels while providing grid stability, this is it.
