No longer as “beautiful” as once it was but my “liver appeared normal in size and shape but had a mildly heterogenous echo texture throughout. A simple cyst of 11 x 7 x 17 mm was seen in the left lobe. No solid focal liver lesions were seen, no evidence of intra/extra hepatic duct dilatation”

Dream I’m listed not once but twice on a shortlist for a literary prize. There are only 5 shortlisted works in total so I figure I’ve a splendid chance of actually winning. Then ex-PM David Cameron comes out and denounces the other 3 (failing even to mention either of mine) and my chances evaporate

I’m heading to Ely for a liver scan. Last time I had my liver scanned I was told I had a “beautiful liver” (the only time I can recall someone telling me a part of me was “beautiful”). Beauty is ephemeral I know but on balance I’m feeling confident the ultrasound technicians will swoon

A couple of years ago a researcher did an ultrasound on my abdomen and told me I had a beautiful liver. It’s the only time I can recall anyone describing any part of me as beautiful. Anyway arranging soon to discuss the results of my liver function test with my GP.

Two separate vivid and emotional dreams last night. In dream#1 we return home to find blood all over the fence. Baffled for a while but later we see legs from a prostrate body poking out from behind the shed. A heart-pounding nightmare feeling means I am way too scared to investigate.
