I do believe AI psychosis remains a real problem--though more research is needed to assess its prevalence and exact etiology. You won't avoid it by training yourself to be cruel to an entity that is specifically *designed* to emulate a human, though. That's just doing asshole aerobics.

One thing I’m grateful for, they changed the route. I did the seattle marathon before, previously the last 6 miles were straight up from the lake. End of Nov is a stupid time to hold a marathon in Seattle, add the terrible route and I wondered if the Seattle was the worst marathon in the world.

This is all stupid but my brother in law who randomly took up running two years ago and instantly became elite at it suggested I do it with him so my pride and the fact I could really use a win pushed me to say “fuck it”.

My long run this week was only 7 miles and i was fine - I drove to avoid any elevation at all - but I’m mostly worried about the overall load I’m putting on my body.

I mostly do peloton rides for exercise these days and sometimes mix in a 5 mile hilly run every other week so I don’t lose my jogging ability completely. so this might is a big ramp up to attempt without injuring myself.

This will be my 5th marathon - 6th if you count the fact my Iron Man comprised one - but it has been over a decade since I last did any of this sort of nonsense. I’m about 250lbs which is at least 25 pounds heavier than I have ever run one.

So are you pointing to a heightened danger at the point where coalitions are formed? Mistakes there could become particularly compounded or exacerbated? Maybe but it isn’t obvious to me how and I can’t immediately see what more stable coalitions would do to handle it any better.

Focusing just on voters, 2 parties demands voters to make uncomfortable compromises up front that are difficult to rationalize sometimes. Tons of angst in the electorate. Multiple parties allow the voters to have more choice for truer representation. Let the compromises come once voters are done.

Okay, but are party electeds more or less likely to behave rationally than voters? 2 parties forces voters to make compromises and forecast who will be better for them. The elected party members might not be prefect but I suspect they are better positioned to be successful with it than voters.
