With practice and patience, it is actually possible to spin cotton on a Lendrum wheel. The natural green cotton fiber in the background shifts magically from beige to green with a little baking soda in the finishing wash. #spinningyarn #fiberarts #fiberart #handspunyarn

I bought a #lojan Inkeltje #Inkle Loom and crochet cotton yarn for my birthday. The loom is smaller and more portable than my other loom. The pattern I’m #weaving is in the Lojan instructions. #fiberarts

My quest to finish WIPs is on track. My 4th #rigidheddle project is off the loom. I ended up with 3 placemats and 1 mini mat, rather than the 4 intended placemats. Lessons learned. I’m still happy with the results. And now know what works well versus doesn’t when weaving with linen. #gistyarn

I’ve had my #rigidheddleloom for many years. This is my 4th project. Finally getting around to finishing it after 2 years in hibernation. It was supposed to be 4 placemats. 3 are completed. But only have room left for a mini mat or napkin. Oh well. Lesson learned. #fiberarts #weaving #fiberart

The newest Turkish spindle to my collection arrived today. It’s an Aegean Turkish #spindle made by Ed #Jenkins. The wood came from a Manzanita tree that was affected in the terrible Carr fire in Northern California. She’s gorgeous and #spins beautifully. I am now officially on a #buyatus. #fiberart

My inaugural BlueSky post is the first skein of yarn spun on my Electric Eel Nano 2 wheel. I struggled initially with uptake on to the bobbin. Success happened after changing the tension to a spring and string, as well as taking a long hiatus away from the wheel.
