Quite why there is silly music I don't know but Saturn is currently 150,000km nearer to us than usual. And this is what it looks like through our grainy atmosphere.

Ah, #longcovid - the gift that keeps giving. And this decision was made despite the fact the Sleep Clinic and the Respiratory clinic said I was fine to drive.....

I'm often disappointed by breakfast baps as either everything falls out, the portions are wrong, or everything just tastes like overcooked cheap bacon. So I made a pattie with sausage meat, black pudding, and smoked bacon - all weighed proportionately - and all I can say is "Yes".

So, an idiot man from a "parliamentary party" which has a grand total of 8 MPs, (one of whom recently "won" a by-election against a bin), talking utter shite about #climate & who thinks it's more important to "beat the French" at winemaking is worth a top headline is it @theguardian.com? FFS.

Given that the lift buttons were taped over with "danger" tape and I figured the staff probably wouldn't want to try and carry me, I decided to give it a miss. Also hadn't seen any staff anywhere in the whole museum. Oh well. #longcovid #accesibility #tellmewhensellingmetheticket

The Great Star Cluster in Hercules (M13) and the vast galaxy of M106. Star clusters are a new type of subject for me but I really enjoyed working on it. The galaxy is about 22 million light years away and this image is 30hrs of data. #astrophotography

7hrs 45m on the rather dramatic Dumbbell Nebula (M27). This is an example of a dying red giant star letting rip with a lot of gas. Jazzy. #astrophotography #nebula

A couple of shots through my new Askar 71F scope - the moon was taken on 6th November & the swirling Triangulum Galaxy over several nights totalling 11hr44m of data, used a narrowband filter to get some of the nebulae (red and blue bits). #astrophotography
