The Mortal Realms Issue 71! The home stretch begins with Kurdoss Valentian, The Craven King. A ghostly king on a floating throne complete with banner and trumpeter, and a big ol’ mace, as you do. #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #MortalRealms #Nighthaunts

Thanks! Of the Nighthaunt big guys I found him to be way easier than Reiknor or Awlrach. It's a fun model!

4 year old me could NOT handle Snow White going through the scary dark forest!

He’s the second in command of the entire army and a lovely centerpiece model that wasn’t nearly as bouncy as I had worried. I think he came out great, I love painting these ghost models! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #MortalRealms #Nighthaunts

Going with that The Distinguished Gentleman strategy presumably.

I broke the antenna off my guys head, because I am just that clumsy! Luckily I was able to glue it back at a jaunty angle!

Apocalypse DREAMS he had the range to be Thanos's wingman!

He’s basically Batman, if Batman was comfortable with skinning people. Plus his name is Konrad, what’s not to like? Probably the skinning people part! More Night Lords to come soon! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #NightLords

Combat Patrol Issue -1! The start of a new project, mixing in some 40k with my other stuff. To kick it off it’s my favorite space marine, Konrad Curze of the Night Lords, the Night Haunter! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #NightLords

I’ve done both for my nighthaunts, though I think the blue is my preferred color set.

All these guys have a massive shrine built to that one horizon zero west screenshot in their minds. It’s the cornerstone of their existence.

As a warhammer person, they are great for making extra bits and pieces! I've got a PLA printer that doesn't require a ton of space and pretty easy to use.

It's just the problem of having a series about crime solving. Like the constant stream of murders surrounding Miss Marple or Jessica Fletcher!

Stormbringer Issue 29! After a while away working on 40k I’m finally back in Age of Sigmar with some Vigilors for my Blooded Dawn stormhost! I like these dudes with their cool bows, flowing robes and neat poses. #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #Stormbringer

Bluesky exclusive: if you do end up assembling your own vigilors be careful! The bowstrings on like half of mine broke while I was clipping them from the sprue!

This is the second Vigilor squad I’ve done, the first was back in February. They’ve painted in slightly different styles but I think they blend together nicely! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #Stormbringer

I’ll wait for the reformed edition.

These are great! And I especially like them because they are a similar color to my new space marines!

Conrad @cradicus.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

A lot of Stormcast of course, plus my old mardi gras marines and newer cash obsessed warboss!

Demolition Man is so weird. Who saw this amalgam of original Daredevil and Wolverine and said "yep, that's a solid character design for a Marvel Comicbook character!"

Armageddon Part 9! It’s the final countdown as the last of the Profit Prophet’s army of space orks is complete! First there’s a Bannernob, with the mighty flag of Line Goes Up! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #Orks

Living by the Sigma #Waaaghset! Effective Crump-truism in action!

The final forces of Goldtoof’s Mob and the Dauntless Space Marines! With that Armageddon is complete! It took a little longer than I hoped, but it came out amazing! Really great to be back with 40k! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K

Next is the Big Mek Dakkarig! A massive armored gun chicken with smokestacks and shell casings everywhere. This is a huge model and I think it turned out pretty well! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #Orks

Armageddon Part 8! A Landspeeder and the Ancient! The Ancient is the dude with the flag. Very important to have a big flag to carry into battle! The banner model is great, fun to paint! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #SpaceMarines

Thanks! It's been a fun project!

The Space Marine side of the Armageddon box is complete! Just a few more Orks and the whole project is done. Excellent times! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #SpaceMarines

The Landspeeder is a great model, I love the base, it just floats above the table. I worry I overdid it with the skulls on the base, but I think they’re pretty solid! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #SpaceMarines

Would you believe he brings back a largely forgotten Silver Age character to do so?

120

Conrad @cradicus.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

I definitely remember this era of Dr. Strange getting very over the top, but then snapping right back to status quo after the big climax. As is so often the case with big Strange stories :D

25 years later I’m still mad about it!

Conrad @cradicus.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

They had entire books that were just pictures of sci fi guns and chat rooms roasting those guns! What an era!

I’ve played D&D since 1990 and just found out that the whole magic system is based on Jack Vance earlier this year. I’d never ever heard of him!
