He’s the second in command of the entire army and a lovely centerpiece model that wasn’t nearly as bouncy as I had worried. I think he came out great, I love painting these ghost models! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #MortalRealms #Nighthaunts

The Mortal Realms Issue 71! The home stretch begins with Kurdoss Valentian, The Craven King. A ghostly king on a floating throne complete with banner and trumpeter, and a big ol’ mace, as you do. #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #MortalRealms #Nighthaunts

He’s basically Batman, if Batman was comfortable with skinning people. Plus his name is Konrad, what’s not to like? Probably the skinning people part! More Night Lords to come soon! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #NightLords

Combat Patrol Issue -1! The start of a new project, mixing in some 40k with my other stuff. To kick it off it’s my favorite space marine, Konrad Curze of the Night Lords, the Night Haunter! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #NightLords

I’ve done both for my nighthaunts, though I think the blue is my preferred color set.

A lot of Stormcast of course, plus my old mardi gras marines and newer cash obsessed warboss!

The Landspeeder is a great model, I love the base, it just floats above the table. I worry I overdid it with the skulls on the base, but I think they’re pretty solid! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #MiniaturePainting #Warhammer40K #SpaceMarines

Two hand-painted Warhammer 40,000 armies are displayed on a white background. One image shows a growing Ork force featuring a Warboss, Nob, Boyz in two distinct blue- and red-shirted mobs, Gretchin, and a Painboy, all with bright green skin, yellow armor plates, and weathered industrial bases. Many of the Orks carry trophies taken from the Dauntless Space Marines, including magenta helmets, armor fragments, and severed heads worked into their gear and bases. The second image shows the opposing Dauntless Space Marine force, painted in rich magenta armor with bone-colored shoulder pads, black chapter decals, and gold details, led by a Captain with a relic shield and accompanied by a bright blue Librarian. Together, the photos present both sides of an ongoing narrative, with the Orks proudly displaying the spoils of their battles against the Dauntless chapter.

There’s only one The Pit in comics for me!

030

Conrad @cradicus.bsky.social · 19/07/2026

This comic has stuck with me, because any interaction with The Raven beyond knowing the title makes the teachers explanation obvious. But people pushing blue drapes are often also just not doing the reading!

But did you ever see this one? The song from it is stuck in my head 40 years later!

I gotta get back into the new stuff! I'm covering The Pit for my podcast and I was shocked to find a moment of Dredd's internal monologue in it. That's something we don't see that often!

The Mortal Realms Issue 69 (NICE!)! Another, final unit of Sequitors. These robed mage knights are the iconic models for my Blooded Dawn army, and I like them a lot, even if they aren’t rules supported anymore! #PaintingWarhammer #WarhammerCommunity #AgeOfSigmar #MortalRealms
