We’ve objected to plans for 7 houses west of Furrow Grove, Stannington (26/01393/FUL), citing overdevelopment, poor access and a layout that doesn’t respect the area’s spacious character. We’re calling for refusal and for higher-quality development that truly fits its surroundings.

Zwolle now has a park above the railway. The new Passerelle is a 130-metre wooden bridge that links the city centre with the station area. It is made as a connection that also allows for meeting and enjoying the view, with greenery, benches and places to pause. Read more (Dutch): buff.ly/XCdLxem

Three years ago, Utrecht completed the transformation of the Sint Josephlaan and turned an unattractive, unlivable car sewer into a green city boulevard. It shows that even Dutch cities were not always like they are today and have often come a long way in becoming better versions of themselves.
