The Texas Quote of the Day: "I'd like to write some songs that are so good that nobody understands them. Not even myself." ---- Townes Van Zandt I would say Townes succeeded in this because, in interviews, I've heard him offer up at least 5 explanations re: what Pancho and Lefty is about!

I am equal parts terrified and fascinated by these tall highway overpasses. I will go out of my way to avoid driving on them but they are striking. #photography #cityscape #urbanlandscape #fujifilm #houston #highway

Saw Magritte’s The Treachery of Images at LACMA. One of my favorite pieces of art.

René Magritte’s painting The Treachery of Images. A painting of a pipe with “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” (This is not a pipe) painted underneath.

Looking east on 6th street at the intersection of 6th and Congress in Austin, 1914. The iconic Driskill Hotel can be seen on 6th street. I love any photo with a trolley in it! Courtesy the Austin History Center.

A few of my photos printed and framed up on a wall. I think that in this era of digital everything it’s even more important to actually print out photos and hang them up. You get a much different enjoyment from having them up somewhere you see them everyday than just looking at them on a screen.
