Mutual Aid by Dean Spade is free on Libro for the next week (until 2/2). We know that books can't fix everything, but they can help us show up for and strengthen our communities. Our employee book club read this last year, leading to a great discussion. We hope that it helps others do the same 💗 ⏬

I love romance, but I’m very picky about any sports romance books. So when I say this series is AMAZING and I love these characters so much, I mean it. 📚💜 #booksky #sportsromancebooks

Hey- you know what’s fun? Reading a book with an MC who gets possessed while waiting for your kiddo to fall asleep in the dark. I make the BEST choices 😅 #booksky #thepossessionofalbadiaz

A new Holly Jackson book? Yes please! Her adult debut was very surprising and somehow comedic even while being extremely heavy & full of twists and turns. #booksky

Fabulous Fat Friday- A fat book for every letter of the alphabet. #FabulousFatFriday #BookRecommendations #BookWorm #Booksky

The image is a vibrant illustration with a dark-to-light gradient blue background. It features the text "Fabulous Fat Friday ABC Edition" prominently in the center, with each word styled differently. "Fabulous" is in white, "Fat" in a smaller white font, "FRIDAY" in large, bold, red letters with a light shadow, and "ABC" in colorful, textured letters. Two animated figures are depicted. On the left, a Black woman with long, dark hair wears a light blue dress and dances joyfully with her left arm raised. On the right, a white woman with long, blonde hair smiles, standing confidently with her hands on her hips, wearing a light peach dress and white shoes.

The image showcases four distinct book covers arranged in a square layout against a dark gradient background transitioning from deep blue to black. At the top left, the cover titled "Angels in the Dark" by Shannon Elliot features a dramatic depiction of a tattooed woman in front of a starry, night sky backdrop. To the right, "Brazen and the Beast" by Sarah MacLean portrays a woman in a turquoise gown standing in front of classical columns. On the bottom left, the "Curvy Girl Summer" cover by Danielle Allen shows an illustration of a confident woman in a yellow dress next to a man in a white shirt, set against a vibrant purple cityscape. Finally, the "Dripping" cover by Adriana Herrera depicts a close-up of a white rose with dew droplets on black. Surrounding each cover, letters A, B, C, and D made of colorful painted background.

The image features a collage of four book covers positioned in a roughly rectangular arrangement on a dark blue gradient background. Around the covers, there are giant, colorful letters "E," "F," "G," and "H," each styled with a colorful painted background.
1. Top left is "Every Version of You" by Sloan Spencer. The cover depicts a smiling couple embracing against a turquoise background, with the woman leaning her head on the man’s shoulder. The title and author's name are displayed prominently.
2. Top right is "Faith: Taking Flight" by Julie Murphy. The cover shows a superhero character with a flowing cape, flying against a cloudy sky. The title and author's name are at the top and bottom.
3. Bottom left is "Get Real, Chloe Torres" by Crystal Maldonado. The cover illustrates two friends lying on the grass, surrounded by flowers. They are laughing and appear relaxed. The title and name of the author are placed in the upper-left corner.
4. Bottom right is "Highly Suspicious and Unfairly Cute" by Talia Hibbert. The cover shows two individuals standing side by side, with one holding a book and the other crossing their arms. The background features stylized trees. Both title and author's name are displayed above.

The image has a deep blue gradient background featuring four book covers arranged in a grid pattern, with each cover accompanied by a decorative letter. In the top left is "If It Makes You Happy" by Claire Kann, showing a woman with long hair and sunglasses on a turquoise background. Next to it, "Just for the Cameras" by Viano Oniomoh presents three figures on a red background. Below is "The Kindred" by Alechia Dow, depicting two people against a cosmic backdrop. Beside it, "Lourdes and the Mafia" by Aleera Anaya Ceres shows a woman with curly hair and flames against an intricate background. Each book is accompanied by a vividly colored letter ("J," "K," "J," "L") isolated in a circular white space, with a colorful painted pattern inside each letter.

Fabulous Fat Friday- Book Review! 📘: Between Wrath and Mercy- Jess Wisecup ❤️Second Chance 🗡: Fantasy Romance 👩‍👧: Mom 🌺: Mid-Size FMC #BookReview #FabulousFatFriday #BookSky #FantasyRomance

The image is an illustration featuring two women with diverse body types. They are both wearing two-piece swimsuits. The woman on the left has Black skin tone and bright pink hair, with a confident pose and a smile. The woman on the right has white skin tone and long, wavy dark brown hair, standing with a relaxed posture. The background has a soft, pastel color scheme with a combination of peach, pink, and beige tones. At the top, the phrase "Fabulous Fat Friday" is written in bold, pink lettering. Below, an arrow points towards the women, labeled “Book Review.” Decorative elements like squiggly lines and stars accentuate the design.

The image is a book review graphic with a pastel peach background featuring three white daisies. In the center is a cover of the book titled "Between Wrath & Mercy" by Jess Wisecup, performed by Kelsey Navarro & Sean Crisden, with a note "ONLY FROM audible" in the bottom right corner. The book cover shows a sword adorned with purple flowers on a dark textured background. Around the cover, there are pink and peach wavy lines and arrows pointing to keywords such as "Second Chance," "Fantasy Romance," and "Mid-Size FMC." At the bottom, "Book Review" is written in bold black letters on a cream-colored banner with rounded edges.

The image features a decorative layout on a pink background with an illustrated paper and flower motif. In the center, there is a white rectangular text box with the heading "My Thoughts" in large pink font. The background includes a layered design with rounded edges and a subtle flower illustration. The overall aesthetic is warm and inviting, combining elements of paper and floral designs.

My Thoughts

Emmeline, is a 34 yr old mom to a teenager girl who is slated to be, The Beloved. Emmeline is fearful of this fate for her due to her twin sister being killed when she was The Beloved. Emmeline finds out her daughter is missing and her husband might have had something to do with it and she is on the hunt of both of them. She turns to a former lover and friends to help her find them.

I really liked the world, LOVE that she is in her 30s in a fantasy setting and she has a teenage daughter. I really enjoyed the 2nd chance romance and the FMC is mid-sized and I appreciated the conversations she would have about her body, some of her insecurities with her body changing and also her love for her body. I really need to pick up book 2 because I really want to dive back in and see what happens. Book 2 is out and so I have NO excuse. So if it is not on my July wrap up (yes, July, you can bully me)
