Illustration of colorful whale sharks. Together they form the color of a rainbow. There are stars on their backs and little stars surrounding them.

so folks are saying that Twitch is getting hit with age verification prompts for people living in texas. i'm here, unfortunately. i support a lot of streamers, but i dont know if i want to give them anything, because we all know there'll be a data breach within months. Fucking hell. everything sucks

drew some older chars, they're part of a species I made up called Terratums! They're cute dragon fellows with things in their tummy area, such as sparkly stars, things they like to hoard, and can also be terrariums and aquariums! They're an open species btw :) #art #furry #dragon

By the way, I don't think I show this much on my medias, but my commissions are open almost all the time. :) I primarily get comms through toyhouse but I respond through most of my medias that I'm on, as long as I can! toyhou.se/32857224.cov... toyhou.se/38591339.cov... (no account needed to view)

now go annoy your representatives to smack down KOSA, and encourage them to make an act to prohibit age verification that requires ID. Calls, letters, emails, votes- the works! Things arent as bleak as they could be, and things are NEVER as hopeless as the opposition tries to make us believe

For those not aware somehow, KOSA and the Screen Act are being voted on in the senate on Aug 5th. If they pass, it literally means all of our internet will be under age verification, same as the UK and Aus. It's starting soon on Discord in Texas. I was already gated off Bsky once bc of this bs.

My state will be the first forcing the uk style age verify on discord.. I don't even do anything of value on discord but that still sucks. I keep in touch with online only friends.. of which there are quite a few. KOSA is being voted on Aug 5th as well.

Cove 🐬✨ @cove.bsky.social · 02/07/2026

Twitter(gross) is demanding a fingerprint or selfie to id me. Bluesky already locked us out once and they're probably going to fully gate us out soon too. Wtf am i supposed to do, just go down the list of medias til they all gate me out for ID? maybe ill just go to a library. lol

Cove 🐬✨ @cove.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

I truly, genuinely hate my state. I've hated it my entire life and it just keeps proving how much it sucks here. I'm out yall. Love my followers here <3 yall are great. but age id laws suck </3

1150

Cove 🐬✨ @cove.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

So I was one of the people locked out earlier due to age verification bugs I'm on it atm, but I think I'm 100% out. I refuse to give my id even if it isolates me outta everything, sry. See my pinned post for everything i'm on otherwise. i'm not putting up with this bull.

081

Cove 🐬✨ @cove.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

so if KOSA passes into law then idk man, I'm probably gonna distance myself from most medias because i am not going to give my id to any company. lol. i'm old. i remember when they drilled it into our heads to NEVER give out your info. and i still believe that's true today. i will still do comms.
