What I'm not loving about modern internet is whenever a character does something gender non-conforming, now they're an egg waiting to crack and need to be sorted into another box. What's wrong with a guy wanting to wear cute clothing, or a girl wanting to dress like a man? Persona 4 explored this.

I think you put something into words that's hard for me to say right without pissing people off. I don't love how we treat victims, those of us with 'good' intentions. I feel like spotlighting them and insisting that they *feel* like victims does a lot more damage too.

Shooting won't help them. A lot of all of this runs on the appearance of legitimacy. If he cancels elections, if he sends in the military for martial law, a good amount of the uninvolved public will suddenly be very involved. That isn't good for him.

Those four you mentioned I really hate it when people blame the entire party on them. Like when they tried to pass a min wage increase and Manchin and Sinema blocked it, people I knew were going 'they're just the scapegoats, Dems didn't REALLY want to pass a min wage increase!'

Generally it tends to be largely in the messaging, and there's been times they've voted with Republicans I don't love. But really its messaging/failing to address problems in ways that Republicans can then attack on.

And I get it, the Dems aren't the greatest party, they fuck up all the time and I sorely wish we didn't have a two party first past the post system. I don't -love- the Dems but I have a duty to do in the general and they're the only party that has even a hope of pushing the country left.

Republicans get graded on a serious curve because their whole voter base is easily swayed. Dems have to be perfect, can't make a single mistake. If Dem voters turned out in the numbers Republican voters did, Democrats would never fucking lose, but the voters are just too lazy to save themselves.
