I am not a violent man. Yet nightly, when I see the news, there's multiple people that I wish I could just haul off and punch as hard as fucking possible right in the jaw.

Now the escape is making what I can only describe as "the sound a vibrator would make inside of an empty tin can" when I idle. I replaced the brakes and the tires earlier this year so I can only imagine something else is falling off (it's a 2012). I'll be surprised if it lasts through the winter. 😭

I am sick so that means my voice is deeper than normal and I read a bunch of booktok quotes for shiggles. Gotta make the best of it I guess.

I have kinda self-exiled due to my life being extremely punishing right now. I have also kinda dipped from all of my non-work related responsibilities, which isn't fair to some people, but I don't think can balance a lot right now. I am attempting to find spoons to write an article I said I'd write.

Kinda feel its a bit too little, too late for the Destiny 2 announcement they just made. Being able to go back and play the old campaigns is great, but they already burned the playerbase and it'll be hard to trust them now. Not that it matters for me, I can't run it on Linux anyhow due to BattleEye

Oh man the Resident Evil movie was amazing. I went in figuring it's Creggar so it would be good but I didn't imagine it to be *that* good (and really fucking funny to boot). Kinda mixed a bunch of RE games into the film but I think it's the first time I've seen a video game film FEEL like a game.

Y'know, sometimes I run across something and it doesn't ping me as AI created until someone points it out. Then sometimes it's an AI generated post on something I actually know and I immediately go BULLSHIT! then also have to question if my memory is faulty. Today, it was not. Fucking AI bullshit.

It’s so weird that I am going through this like, Blizzard burnout right now. Nothing they’ve announced today has me excited. Yeah the class I wanted was in Diablo 5 but I haven’t gotten 4 to run in Linux for months and WoW Forever stuff does zero for me. Maybe my interest is just waning idk

Not a permanent change because I really like Elezen Sig, but it's the end of the expansion and I kinda wanted to dink around with him some. So here he is, as a cat boy. I actually really like this. The Keeper of the Sun run animation is so much less stiff than the Elezen one lol.

@snekofvoldun.bsky.social I saw this person in FF and immediately went "Is that Snek?" in our guild chat.

A character named Sleepy Snek in the guild Snake in the Grass in Final Fantasy XIV.

I have a fairly large interest in tornadoes but honestly I feel like the Storm Chaser Youtube Community takes turns making videos about Jarrell. It was absolutely a nightmare storm, but I think everyone has made a video about it now all recapping the exact same information. It's the strangest thing.

Gotta love when you do something that you know you shouldn't do ESPECIALLY when you know it's going to end up just hurting you in the process. Like touching a hot burner knowing that it's gonna hurt.

I absolutely cannot say kinder things about @muraillustart.bsky.social who did this commission for me. It's absolutely amazing, they were extremely communicative, and I'm so freaking happy with it. Sig looks exactly like in game, it's great. Thank you again! (Give them money they deserve it!) #FF14

Sloooowly grinding my way through unlocking the Vana'diel raids and ooof this is such a slog. I have no actual connection to FFXI and I don't find this plot terribly compelling, so it's just a bunch of me running around talking to NPCs and going "yeah yeah get me to the next raid please."

I feel accomplished tonight, as I made a giant pasta salad. Protein pasta, shredded chicken breast, fresh pesto, cucumbers, red onion, yellow red and orange bell peppers, celery, green onion, mozzarella pearls. Some mayo and greek yogurt for some creaminess, then an herb blend to mix in too.

One thing I don't think I considered when moving from an extremely high population congested server to a smaller one was the difference in the market board prices. 😂 Things I had listed for 5000 gil there are up for like 200 gil here. It's wild the swing in prices.

The more I think about it, so much of Dawntrail's end plot was Final Fantasy IX coded and we never got a Vivi NPC. I was sure that was going to be a slam dunk, but I guess it wouldn't have exactly fit in with the style they were going for.

Finally caught up on the MSQ last night, which was nice. Why is a certain "evil" character so dang cute? Interested to see where things go from here, but I'm surprised how they managed to tie everything together so well. Guess I gotta go do Hildibrand now. Should probably level PCT too...

I came to realize today that I have mostly stopped talking to people that I play with in a certain game due to the election in 2016. I remember being upset when suddenly Mango Mussolini was pulling ahead and voiced it in discord and was basically told to shut up no one wants to talk about it.

Mages Unite ✨ Tee version will be available very soon👀 ⟡ #finalfantasy ⟡ #art ⟡ #illustration

Image shows four different types of mages that are walking in a row, surrounded by nature, a river and starry sky. The river is reflecting what the sky shows.

First we see a Red mage with a ranger hat with a feather, long white hair and wearing a red coat with cloak. He is holding a rapier with his right hand

Behind him is the White mage wearing a big white cloak with red triangle/way patterns, she is blonde with braided hair, and holding her staff.

After her is the Black Mage, wearing a big blue cloak with a pointy wizard hat. They're holding a rod with their hand.

and for last: we see the Summoner wearing a red headband with a horn attached to it. He is wearing a big yellowish cloak with a big yellow ribbon on top.

I see now how they're tying Dawntrail to Evercold. At first I didn't know how they'd do it but once the pieces began falling into place and I thought back to how the story went they were very good at laying the tracks for it. It's good. They did a long setup for it and it's paying off now.

I know it's Hot Reddit Takes and I shouldn't take them personally, but getting my 7 y/o to go to bed has been an issue lately and seeing a bunch of people just going "You need to show AUTHORITY not be their friend!!!" and circlejerking to that sentiment is... frustrating to say the least.

also - as I have said before and will say again - the problem with AI isn't that there's zero positive, helpful uses to which it can be put; it's that none of them, whether singly or collectively, comes remotely close to justifying the dystopian shitshow that goes into making and selling the tech

I want to say that even though she's a minor NPC in the last few patches with scant real characterization, I adore Shale. Honestly I think she's the first NPC we've interacted with in FF14 where I go, "Yeah I think Sig would be crushing on her."
