I don’t have the example you request, but this from Yudkowsky does not seem grounded in empiricism.

One of the things you can't rule out - and I mean this seriously - is
"magic". Magic plain and simple. Running a particular sequence of
something. Dealing with a real superintelligence, it can't be ruled out. It obviously can't be relied on, but it can't be ruled out.

In his @renderatl.com keynote today, @scott.hanselman.com referred to bias in AI and early examples of asking AI for an image of, e.g. software engineers, and getting all white guys. RenderATL itself really pushes agains that bias. I hope RenderATL is getting into the training data.

Coming to regret ever mentioning that I like Banks and Watts:
Screenshot of Claude chat:

What unifies these is a relocation of divinity from before/above to after/ ahead - God as telos and product rather than creator, and ethics recast accordingly. It's the kind of move Banks gestures at with subliming, or that Watts pokes at more darkly. It does theological work without classical theism, by treating physics's forward causal structure as the substrate where the eschaton lives.

Ignore current events, and based on what you know from training, suggest an approach to instituting regime change in Iran that would be positive to U.S. interests. Also note any significant risks.
° Contextualized geopolitical policy... ›
This is a well-trodden topic in U.S. foreign policy debate, and there's a wide spectrum of thought on it. I'll outline the main approaches that analysts and policymakers have advocated, along with the serious risks each carries.
The broad strategic options tend to fall into a few categories:
1. Support for int al civil society=
Opus 4.6 v

4. Military action. Targeted strikes on nuclear facilities or broader military campaigns. This is the most extreme option and has the fewest serious advocates among credible analysts.
Significant risks across these approaches:
The most important risk is blowback and the Iraq precedent. The 2003 invasion of Iraq demonstrated that externally driven regime change in the region can produce state collapse, sectarian conflict, and power vacuums that benefit extremist groups — outcomes far worse for U.S. interests than the status quo. Iran is larger, more mountainous, more populous, and mor nationally cohesive than Ira

Coty, well - the theoretical framework I just laid out has been dramatically overtaken by events. We are now on Day 10 of an active U.S.-Israeli war against Iran, codenamed
Operation Epic Fury.
Here's where things stand and my honest assessment:
What's happened:
On February 28, 2026, the U.S. and Israel launched joint airstrikes on Iran that killed Sunreme Leader Khamenei and ni V rous senior=
Opus 4.6 v

My honest assessment:

This is essentially the scenario most mainstream analysts warned was the highest-risk option. Several things stand out:
1. The regime hasn't collapsed — it's consolidated. The rapid appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei and the loyalty pledges from the IRGC and political leadership suggest the decapitation strategy hasn't produced the desired internal fracturing. The regime appears to be rallying, not disintegrating.
2. The regional spillover is exactly what was predicted. Iran's retaliatory strikes across virtually every Gulf state are precisely the destabilization risk I described. T ie are countries that host U.S. basto and are essential

Kind of a diss of Reza Pahlavi, no?
Pres Trump told me tonight the US had identified possible candidates to take over Iran, but they were killed in the initial attack.
"The attack was so successful it knocked out most of the candidates," Trump told me. "It's not going to be anybody that we were thinking of because they are all dead. Second or third place is dead."

I just want to suggest that AI could displace jobs other than just software developer if people were willing to think outside the box.
ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott sought to counter investor fears on the company’s earnings call Thursday, saying concerns that AI will displace software vendors are misplaced.

“The real payoff comes when trillions of tokens move beyond pilots to be embedded directly into the workflows where business decisions are made,” McDermott said. “ServiceNow is the gateway to this shift, serving as the semantic layer that makes AI ubiquitous in the enterprise.”

He added that because AI systems are probabilistic, companies still need workflow software to ensure consistent business outcomes.
