Quote of the day: "The Nobel Peace Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti-democracy and really enemies of civilisation,"

The thing that will stick is, if you look and listen, do you go with what this woman has actually said? Or do you prefer balaclavas and all that? The leader of The Balaclavas has just been put on remand. We all need to observe considered justice and everything that we think the UK stands for.

"Reform has pledged to deregulate crypto" explai s an awful lot. Who said Reform was a party for sale? Farage has tipped the wink to a number of "already seen" policies. Didn't they brag about a UK DOGE? Keep going, Peter!

💯 But, even more now than then, the channels into mass consciousness are in the hands of those that seek to separate UK from EU protection. The biggest risk is Right parties create a coalition and go as fast as Trump to implement a UK Project 2028. You can see Farage trailing every idea. 1st NHS🪦

The Tories are gutted of talent AND tell lies. If it were not for poor journalism / RW media - they would have lost their deposit. Radio 5 "Kemi is great festival" yesterday couldn't boost them. Caller after admiring caller. I wonder if there had been any pressure on selection of callers.

Credit @lewisgoodall.com for this reality check" "The Conservative Party is currently polling lower than they did in the 2024 general election. That performance- at 24%- was itself easily the Tories’ worst result in two centuries’ worth of elections."

Tories are gutted of talent (& MPs) Any balanced view about Brexit was booted out by Johnson. Those that remained pledged to back BJ extreme deal, setting aside their own minds. The remains formed the core that lost heavily to Labour, devoid, as it was, of talent. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_su...

It is a thing. Beliefs are not something one chooses. One is, or is not, convinced. Logic or rationality do not instantly undo beliefs. The idea that the loss of Services is because we pay too much tax is absurd. We need a steady flow of messages to undo the damage done by RW lies since Thatcher.

That advert was by the people that are messing with BBC. Crap. If they produced journalism to a professional standard we'd be better off. Defunding BBC is key target for Right Wingers. See what Trump did? RIght Wing authoritarians want rid of the BBC. Dorries tried shutting Channel 4, already.

“The question is not whether we can afford to remain within the Convention [ECHR]. It is whether, in an increasingly dangerous world, we can afford not to” Political liars and lightweights, like Badenoch and Farage, must never be allowed to take that risk. www.lawgazette.co.uk/commentary-a...
The Law Society
Gazette

In short, if Britain were to leave the ECHR, it would not be
'taking back control. It would be surrendering influence over the rules and institutions that help keep us safe.
The debate about the ECHR is too often conducted as though it were a choice between national sovereignty and international law. That is a false choice.
The Convention advances British interests because it reflects British values: liberty under law, democratic government and the accountability of power.
Walking away would not make Britain freer. It would make Britain weaker.
